To res or not to res... that is the question

My 3x str fire/light blader has recently experienced an abundance of sp... since i have room for another mastery tree, what do you say i should get (i don't need help with how the skills work or anything, just flip a coin or something and help me decide): ice for the def bonus (but seems kind of sad to waste a tree for just a passive and buff, i already kill slow enough; god knows i don't need to bother to freeze stuff that barely scratches my paint), or res so i can be nice to people and res the people i trade/thief with.
(vote potato if you think that farming potatos and selling them to nubs in jg, hoping that they will autopot them and die is a fun and good thing, and should be attempted by anyone)

and a waste of masteries. At a high lvl you will definitely regret having res instead of a better ice or fire defense.

You're a blader right? You have enough defense already so i think choosing res is a better choice to help other people and not you.

I have a better option here. Why don't you stick to fire+lightning+bicheon instead of adding another mastery?

Get ice, if u have res then idiots will keep asking you REZZZ REZZZZ and when you do, they just go away without even saying a simple Thank you. But then again, people will still bug u to res because they dont know if u have it or not =O. :shock:

I think res and harmony therapy are good at low lvls, plus the passive never hurts, so at higher lvls, just use ressucitation pots to get rid of res and well by then maybe adaptation therapy, (whole therapy maybe even :shock:

)

But im sticking with my res+therapy, because im the healer of our thief group, and the long range bomber, fire bower ftw!!!!!!!

Oh haha, Here's what i do when stupid people want a res.

Get res if you want to participate in group actions, like guild or union trades, hunts, thiefing etc.... cuz that way it doesnt matter if one person dies. If you mainly just play on your own and so then dont get res.
Thats my opinion on this.

Best part is that nobody that grinds at Stone Ghosts can even have a level 17 mastery. (7 levels above Stone Ghosts and it gives basicly nothing for exp)

hahaha, panah im glad you are keeping res, even tho i dont die that much, it always helps to have a healer in the group

Edit: oh and something that is funny, my low lvl char never even touched any stone ghosts, or weasels or other ghosts lvl 6 haha

went straight to yeoha from mangyang, grinding higher lvl ftw.

OMG NO ITS NOT! I use force and those harmony circles and the res come in handy. Not to mention the vital spot muscle. Soo many ppl attacked me when i used that and went offender on me!

If you are planning on being a loner, have no friends that want to be around you, or plan on just 1v1 PvP then force isn't the best tree for you. I however, am in an active guild in a union with organized trade runs. While I still don't have enough levels to run and hunt, my build was always meant to be healing support for a group. Being able to drop a therapy circle that the NPC's from the caravan can't invade is pretty sweet too.
