I fail to see the reason you laughed at this picture.

Don't worry, no one expects you too.

I thought it was sunlight being broken down :(
I kinda spotted a rainbow in there, thought it was a pic from the first time we did that.

Can anyone explain what we're seeing there? Kinda curious now.

It's a picture of Earth, taken by Voyager 1 as it left our solar system.

Spoiler!

The image that Voyager 1 took that someone posted reminds me how silly everyday life truly is. It's almost as if we do these things simply to pass the boredom that comes with our existence. It reminded me that the world is more than just the one that we inhabit.

Yes. It is silly when you reflect on it. But then again, what isn't silly when it's witnessed with a different or higher perspective? All of our daily problems are minuscule and seem unimportant when viewed from outer space, but in the ant farm itself those same minuscule problems can make or break the farm. It would be more comforting and reassuring if more people occasionally thought in such an open-minded manner. Perhaps then we could ultimately experience change in a faster and far more productive state, instead of holding our breaths while slowly turning purple like so many are inclined to do. Screw it, if I could pull it off I would hand out free realizations by the door.

I just read up about it. That's pretty crazy. How does the command of that thing work though?
It's just programmed to take pictures? How the hell does the thing send it back to earth, it can't have an unlimited range, can it?

I think they use certain radio frequencies to send data back to earth and since electromagnetic waves travel forever, I think they have unlimited range

That picture looked like a road taken in a moving car.
