Tool should be further over. The lyrics are pretty deep and most of Maynard's songs have alot of meaning. <3 EDIT: fack dem typos.

Mmmm, I made a 1230 on my SAT, yet I listen to 85-90% of the artist on this list.. EXCEPT the ones 1156-1436+. They must all add up XD Interesting chart, but has no real use. I agree with the Tool comment... they have some really deep/complex lyrics.

+1
Also, this list is bad. Jazz should be on the top and not at the bottom.
This list is a fail.

Can some1 tell me what the hell a SAT-score is and how it relates to IQ? And how does this relate to "musickind makes you stupid?" it just proves that "smarter" people have a different music taste......

it doesn't really relate to your IQ , just the amount you scored on a SAT Test which in my mind really is not that serious (Unless it is in the USA Which then i don't know
)
Shame tho , none of my fav bands are on there

Maybe someone checks his stuff on riming and grammar??
Lil wayne rules..
(well, his three best songs are Prom Queen, Official Girl (with Cassie) and Let It Rock (with Kevin Rudolph))
yeah.

It is standardized test that many colleges/universities use to filter out students who have lower scores. It's not really an all around IQ test since it focuses only on math and english.

The type of music you listen too has nothing to do with whether or not you studied for your SAT. I have two friends who have high ass SAT scores, and are currently attending YALE University. Oh yeah, they both listen to lil wayne. (Yes a shitty rapper)

SAT does not equal IQ. It is very unlikely to perform well on an SAT test without having to study for it, whereas an IQ test does not require studying, and you can still score high on it. So perhaps music is able to influence ones ability to learn, stay focussed or it has influence on discipline. I wouldn't say music has a direct correlation to IQ.

I didn't study any for my SAT... it's pretty basic knowledge stuff on there.. Then again, in Texas (much like other states I'm sure) we take standardized tests each year in math, English etc. The SAT was pretty similar to those.. just a tad bit harder I guess. Think the standardized tests stopped in HS.. not sure, can't remember. Yep, SAT is a test used by colleges to see whether or not they want to admit you. It has a math section and an English section. I think its open ended scoring but most scores end up 500-700 on both sections..and they add them together.They don't base their decision solely on this, but it plays a major role. They also look at HS GPA, honors, entrance essay, blah blah. *Off to listen to lil-wayne. *jk* -.-
