you get at least 3x survivability using grains over pots.
I can survive just as well, if not better just using regular pots, because they have a continuous heal on them rather than a surge in HP recovery, but that's jut my opinion, I will only really use grains when jobbing or warring, otherwise I just find it a overcompensation and rather unfair to my opponents in a fight that doesn't really prove anything.

Int builds shouldn't bother with HP grains imo because they only heal 25% of your hp total. Go one size higher then normal on your pots and start collecting vigor pots as well and quick slot them. The one size larger will allow an "overpot" scenario that will save yer ass many times over. The vigor pots quick slotted makes it easier to use them if you run low on hp or mp. Set your pots to go off at 50-60% and uncheck the damn pot delay box (so many people forget this and have an additional 1 second delay that is automatically selected when you use autopot). If you find yourself using a ton of hp pots, you probably shouldn't be at that mob.

it is 4 seconds for grains. just as bless spell takes 3 minutes to recharge but shows a number 2. you must remember that even though you see a number there is also a clock going in the shadow of the number which represents the portion of additional time added onto the number displayed.
for european builds you should be using normal pots only in pve grinding with a cleric, and also collecting grains as you grind.
for any type of pvp such as jobs, cape, or wars, load all of your slots with grains instead for much more efficient potion recovery on a euro.
but as always, europeans were designed to be used in cooperation with each other. therefore, skilled bards and clerics will always be better than any pots.
and no, i dont have yellow boxes on my pots because i use in game autopot XD.
an str euro may have the option of grains but ints 25% isn't enough hp healed
A man once said, "Fear is contagious". So then the same must hold true for courage. The Roar of a Crowd begins with one man.

i have done it on my wizard and on my warrior and it works well for both.
in the end 25% every 4 seconds is better than (HP Recovery[820]) every 15 seconds
