My ex lived 4-5 hours from me, yet I would still visit her each weekend. I am a 2 hour train ride form the city yet I go there a lot to see friends as well. It seems like you aren't trying hard enough.
Takes me 3 hours to get to my boyfriend too, but we still see each other each weekend, or sometimes even 2 times a week =o
once i travelled like 7 hours with the train just to see my bf for 5 hours lulz.
Thx Kraq for the sig <3
I want you to know that you're the only thing that makes this life so beautiful

i swear i hate those people that when your trying to sleep they have a party and raise the music to the max and then you get a headache.
depends on where i am really. when i'm at my parents i usually go to the pub, or to clubs just over the border in germany. when im at my place i hang out with friends/watch movies/play some pool billiards. and this weekend ima mix it up by going home for a billiards match on friday, going to a friend in utrecht to watch a movie on saturday, and maybe hang out with my cousins in rotterdam on sunday.

Oh wait.. weekend.. *grabs dictionary* *reads* "last two days of week.." that sound logical. "free days" Wait, what!?? people get two free days a week!?? No fair, I want that too!!! with 5 days school and 2 days work, when will I know when it's weekend??! OMG...
How long must I have slept that people get free days???
Weekends are my chill time. During the week I'm bombarded with school, family, and life problems. So on weekends, I take some time to myself and just relax and watch some tv or play a game.

Most of my friends have a full time schedule and therefore simply don't have the time to casually drop by 24/7. Neither are they able to work from out their home as I sometimes do. So what time we can spend together is eagerly anticipated and we make sure it's not wasted on boredom or smoking pot. And friends are something I do go out of my way for, after all.. They are my friends, and not my acquaintances.

I understand. My schedule during the week is pretty hectic, and with me being a bit introverted as I am, I prefer to just relax on my days off. At least until something comes up to do. Usually a trip to the movies with family.

You say you go to the movies with your family? Does that mean you have nothing else to do on your days off, besides waiting for such an moment to present itself? And if that's true, do you consider your family as your friends? And if you don't mind me asking, what is it that you do? What gives you this busy schedule and what causes such strain on your days? It would seem logical to me that constantly going to the movies with my parents would ultimately bore me to death. I would try to find some other people to go with me to the movies. So does that mean you will go out of your way for your friends? Or do you only call them when you feel like it?

Yes, I go to the movies with my family. I enjoy spending time with my family. And I could call up any number of friends to hang out on the weekends, I choose not to. I enjoy some time to just relax, watch some tv, or play a video game. I don't mind you asking. I am a full time student. I am working out and conditioning for the military. I am job searching constantly. The military conditioning is the most stressful. I don't constantly go to the movies with my family. Every once in a while we will get together and go see something we all want to see. Like I said, I don't go out of my way to hang out with friends. If I had a particularly stressful week and I want to chill with someone, I'll call up a friend and we'll make plans.

I see, thank you for telling me. What made you consider, and ultimately decide upon the military then? Were there no other paths for you to take? In any case, I am impressed with your dedication and sense of duty. Your sense of patriotism must be strong. Or are you entering the army because you believe it to be the only option for you to take? And that you are constantly job searching must indeed take it's toll on your nerves as well, or at least give you some unrest occasionally. And the way you share your story with me, it seems like you have a lot to manage in a short time frame. I believe that no good can come from prolonged forms of stress though, you might burn yourself out before you even get into the military. And that would be a real shame because to me it seems like you are betting most of your money on that goal. Apart from all this seriousness, I do believe some good movies are coming out this year. So you might want to keep that phone close by, just in case you feel the need to relieve some stress. :)
