Spezza vs Phaneuf
So there I am, Section 303, row A, seat 9. Calgary Flames visiting the Ottawa Senators. At around 19 minutes in the second period Phaneuf decks Heatley as he tries to cut across the blueline. Of course, the Sens players didn't like it and a fight between Phaneuf and a Senator breaks out. I look at the Senators player's number and see 19. Jason Spezza is actually in a fight. He took 3 or 4 hard rights to the side of the head but still, good effort on his part.

I've been an Ottawa fan since I was 8 years and love them. I wonder if they'll sell anyone tomorrow. I'm just hoping they pick up a d-man and goalie.

Tennis is a Farking scam. I've only seen asians play tennis with my own eyes, but i've never seen a pro asian tennis player. The game is rigged.

Re: Spezza vs Phaneuf
One of the better goalies available tomorrow is Clemmonson in NJ. I doubt they'll be able to get a good puck moving d-man at the deadline, nobody wants to give them up. I expect them to sell off Neil for some picks and possibly Kuba as well.
They also have Erik Carlson coming over from Sweden next season and he won the best defenseman award at the Juniors this year. Expect him to be in the line-up asap. If they can win first or second pick they could also land Hedman as another shutdown man on the blue line.

I've been a fan ever since they got Phaneuf, he is a beast. That hit on Heatley was a beauty too.
The funniest part of that scrap was the resulting penalties. Spezza got 2, 5 and a 10. He sat from 18:30-ish to 2:50-ish.

Ottawa really needs to pick up a pronger. I was hoping they could maybe get backstorm seeing that he's an UFA at the end of this season, but they're going for a playoff run.

Re: Spezza vs Phaneuf
I wasn't able to watch the game unfortunately because I live in Calgary and it was PPV, so I was on and off listening to the radio.

A valiant effort by Spezza, wonder if he thought he could actually win that one... he did take a couple good shots so good on him.
Anyone else think NYR is dumb for thinking about maybe goin after Avery?

Well, see ya Vermette, hello LeClaire.
Aces, look at NYR`s record with Avery versus without in the season(s) he played with them.
