Hmm, odd that they're removing the threat gen bonus from Shield of Righteousness, but they're buffing the damage of our tanking skills... maybe we're becoming like a death knight and causing aggro via DPS?

Also loving the sound of the the Glyph of Hammer of the Righteous. <3

Aside from stance / presence multipliers of threat, the other three classes are generating threat through DPS dealt, combined with some base threat per ability. Essentially, this will raise the paladins DPS from what I understand. What I dont understand is, why paladins need more DPS >:( seriously.

Im guessing there balancing for Uldar. Uldar isnt undead, therefore when we relocate from Naxx to Uldar tankadins are gonna see a DPS drop.

Hope so, our tankadin pulls a whopping 3.5k dps in Nax 25. .. and there's me sweating .. grinding my fingers down to keep a 2k dps and 5-6k tps. : <

If your tankadin isnt outDPSing you as a tank, or your DK cant rip all trash mobs off all other tanks with 3xAOE spells, then theyre doing something wrong.

Dps is fine with others tbh .. but IMO tank's should be TANKS .. they should never be competing with the dps'ers. Blizz needs to stop pissing around and get it sorted. Hopefulyl enough people QQ as they test it on the PTR.

99% of the time I've had aggro problems vs a DK, they've been trying to DPS in Frost Presence.

That is *technically* true. Warriors have a tank tree and two DPS trees. DKs have three tank/DPS trees; the trees are hybrid in nature, but the class is not.

Warrior hybrid? First time in years anyone has referred to a warrior as a "hybrid" and thats probably because now for the first time were actually COMPETITIVE in DPS and therefore, we now do 2 things.

And I meant, that the tankadin should be beating the prot warrior, tank DK or feral bear in DPS, not actual DPS classes. However yes, I beat my fair share of bad PuG DPS in heroics all the time while tanking. Sad huh?

The tank nerfs are the reason why I'd probably stick with cat form + boomkin for my dual spec when I play again. Usually use cat form anyways.

Well Blizzard is definitely doing a pretty good /facepalm for 3.1 so far.

Fun stuff so far:
Maim now a stun that is DR with Pounce and Bash and lasts a maximum of 5 seconds. Will not interrupt if it's on immune DR. Super, my only cat interrupt.

Glyph of Shred: Now adds 3 seconds to Rip up to max of 6. Nice for PvE. Bad for PvP obviously. This and the maim nerf both attempt to fix the same problem in PvP, feral burst. Take away the 20% increased damage from glyph on maimed/stunned targets and leave maim alone, or change maim, but not both, that's just overkill.

Heart of Wild now gives 2/4/6/8/10% stam increase in bear form, down from 4/8/12/16/20%. Bye bye health!

Paladins: Divine Protection now a 3 minute cooldown. Super.

I already had to blow my 3 minute offensive CD to force a bubble, now it's not even a viable strategy to blow my CDs to force bubble, then attempt the nonguaranteed kill when they come back up. Because obviously deathgrip and spamming chains of ice by his retarded DK partner isn't going to happen.

Way to **** up Feral PvP blizzard. I like that Maim doesn't break on damage now, but it's a max of like 3.5 seconds after stun reduction talents come into play for most classes and it makes Bash practically useless. I don't really see myself using Maim much anymore.

But hey, my bleeds can crit now!!! That will fix everything!

But yeah, how you think us bears feel ? Only thing we had above other classes was hp. Other classes have either block / parry .. or if you're a dk INSANE cd's.

Now they nerf our hp by 10% .. ok ok not a MASSIVE deal .. I'll lose 3.5k .. no prob tbh. BUT WTF, They nerf our armor by 33% ? lol wtf .. trying to make us lock tanks or what ?

Blizzard thinks that by giving us a shield that will proc and 'block' 25% of our total ap .. which for me ( 5500 raid buffed /100 x25 = 1375 ) Great, I gai na shield that can block 1375 damage .. yeah ok HOW THE **** is that going to help me vs Patchwerk on Heroic naxx ? 5k 5k 5k 5k 5k 5k 5k is now STILL 5k 5k 5k 5k because of my armor nerf + shield .. BUT .. it'll hit so much harder cause of my lower hp. Blizz are so Farking stupid sometimes.

Well, you'll lose 8.3% of your HP. From 120% stam to 110% stam (10/120=.0833). I feel like they're going to have to make it so you can stack charges of the bear shield or else it will be terrible mitigation.

The armor nerf tbh was needed in PvP. I could go bear and tank a rogue or DK while my shaman drank to full. That's a tad broken, but nothing too terrible. They really need to nerf holy pally mana regen or at least make it so Holy Shock isn't so ridiculous.

Well, they're nerfing our burst and buffing our sustained DPS. I'm gonna have to focus a lot more on keeping Rip, Rake and Mangle up on multiple people now. Trying to figure out what glyphs to go with for PvP.

Savage Roar, Mangle, Rip is what I'm sort of leaning toward, but Savage Roar, Rip, Shred might be ok too. I dunno, decisions decisions.

Depending on how Savage Defense turns out, it could break even for tanks, though I don't like "Well, I'm like a warrior except I look like a bear" that they're heading towards.

Savage defense is stupid. Just an IMO. And its hard not to believe it was because of all the tears over blocking tanks and how great it is on...... trash. Its trash. Who gives a shit. Or heroics, and any decent tank outgears heroics at this point anyway so its not like it matters. IMO their just fluking up the class. Sigh. Poor bears.

I was a bit suprised with the HotW nerf. This whole debate began becase of two things.

1. Sarthation and the struggle of 2 classes to tank it, while 2 other classes trivialize it.

2. Stam is the progressional stat, everything about being alive and effective health, not about how much healing is required. Thus the highest stam wins, being one of thee best progression tanks.

Honestly, I kinda expected

A buff to two classes for fights like sarth, or
Sarth nerfed, or
Nothing changed.

So the HotW nerf caught me a little off guard, tho I can see their reasonings.
