Lol I was just playing Halo 3 like a few hours ago as well before reading this anyway it seems the kid was not all there.
Imo it's not the game company's fault this just gave the kid a reason everyone is so quick to blane games.

He is 17 years old. He should know what is crossing the line. Every child gets angry at their parents, very few hit them, and even fewer kill them. The quote saying he probably had no idea they [his parents] wouldn't be coming back is rubbish. Everyone knows beyond the age of 10 or less how the cycle of life and death works.

Mothers and fathers beating their children wouldn't stop much. In fact it may only work like fuel on the fire. I wouldn't totally blame Halo for his actions, though it is what the story is revolved around. I can play a few rounds of CS, then shut it down and be totally normal. Because I just played a violent video-game doesn't change the way I act in real life towards other people. I don't feel like I want to pull out an AK47 and blast my parents heads off.

Enough of my rant.

Yeah ok because thats what causes it... Discipline makes your kids murder, and beat their wives. I came out just fine, after a few years of getting punished for Fuckups you figure it out.

I'm pretty sure conditioning starts when you're a baby. It looks like this moron was spoiled all his life and when he couldn't get his way he snapped. I was beaten as a child and I'm glad I was. Now I'm not some f*cked human being.
