Empire Total War

the game is coming out in early march (Mar. 3rd according to our best buddy wikipedia), its demo is already on steam for download. Anyone tried it out yet? Here are my opinions for the demo:

pros:
- large scale battle, as always
- cannons!
- naval battle
- very good graphics
- more cannons and muskets!

cons:
- naval battle seems a bit tedious if u try to control every ship
- individual soldier movement/combat still seems a bit sluggish (a lot better compared to previous ones tho)
- a bit demanding on the hardware (my rig could run crysis on pretty much max except for AA, but i cant run high graphics on this game without getting lags)
- the whole "integrating music into battle" part is not that apparent, at least to me

other than that, the demo doesn't have the campaign mode, so i can't comment on the turn-based part of the game, but i'd assume it would be very similar to previous ones.

any thoughts?

I've only seen a trailer for it, looked pretty cool but i'm not really into the old times battles like that.

I'd like to try the demo though ;d.

Well, I was just playing for a bit today, and I liked it very much. Never played a game from the Total War series, but it's cool. I'm playing with United Provinces now, I took Flanderen prety soon, and then I got Alsace-Lorraine. Went on to Paris and owned the damn France. Unfortunally Spain came right in and I lost France again.

Graphics look very nice, all my settings are on high. Maybe it's just because I got Navy battles on easy, but I just won a 1 vs 5 lol. It gets rather boring, because it takes quite long. Anyway, I don't really understand all that trading stuff yet so I'm just playing around attacking some random country's.

Anyone else playing?
