So I'm making a new character, and it's gonna be something with a cleric sub. Problem is I can't decide between wizard, rogue, warlock, or warrior. If you have an answer, please explain why you chose that answer. Thank you.

All of them are good so it really depends on ur playing style i guess. Warrior/cleric is pretty good overall for everything. But they're all good.

I would go for Warlock/Cleric because of his debuff's, DoT and good healing from Recovery Division and MassiveBloodSuckingLikeAVampire-Skill(s).There's a good guide about it in the Guides Tutorials section

fast, but still kind of weakish
good pvE not for pvp

rogue
fastest pvE next to warlock due to lower death rate
good for pvp if you choose both daggers and xbow

warlock
good for solo grinding, really quick
awesome pvp due to debuffs

warrior
kind of moderate in pvE, still good
OVERPOWERED in pvp

FF is the strongest euro class, i mean it hasnt weak points imo

I would pick a warrior. Just because of the tankability it has, nice dmg & Hp, and he looks pretty sick.

This is a very good build but there is a variant of it with at 90 cap : 90 warlock, 80 cleric and 10 warrior mastery. The warrior mastery at 10 because u have Shield Bask lv1 at lvl 10 and its usefull to push away mobs when they come to close. It's a good attack because when u bash when the mobs is hitting u, it just wont hit u. But u will miss a good (dunno crucial) party of cleric mastery ...

Doing that is HUGE mistake, you dont know how ignorant you are when you suggest that.

its actualy useful and can save your life sometimes
just dont be the main cleric in a party
best for 1v1 pvp

Let's compare 80 cleric with 90 cleric at lvl 90:

80 cleric

1. Immunity lvl 8 (people your level will be able to debuff you)
2. Has only Soul Blessing (Magical defence power 206 Increase)
3. 80 bless: Physical defence power 915 Increase/Magical defence power 1.464 Increase
4. Has only Group Recovery (HP 4.581 Recovery/ Weapon Magical Attack power 300% Reflect)
5. Has only Recovery Division (HP 1.604 Recovery/ Weapon Magical Attack Power 105% Reflect)
6. Glut Healing: Absoluteness Damage 5.802
7. Has only Reverse Oblation (Physical / Magical damage 65% absorption-Maximum HP 65% Increase)
8. Has shield bash lvl 1 (Dull status will therefore never work on people lvl 90, it's only benefit is a 80% KB chance)

90 cleric

1. Immunity lvl 9 (which means you will be immune to all normal debuffs)
2. Has Soul Deity (Magical defence power 318 Increase)
3. 90 bless: Physical defence power 1.325 Increase/Magical defence power 2.119 Increase
4. Has Holy Group Recovery (HP 7.065 Recovery/ Weapon Magical Attack power 300% Reflect)
5. Has Holy Recovery Division (HP 2.473 Recovery/Weapon Magical Attack Power 105% Reflect)
6. Glut Healing: Absoluteness Damage 8.422
7. Has Reverse Immolation (Physical / Magical damage 75% absorption-Maximum HP 75% Increase)
8. All other skills have a increased effect when compared to 80 cleric.

If you think that shield bash is worth all that, good luck, do as you wish. I don't think it's worth it though.

Ok. I have a s/s int ff 90. A rogue/cleric ff 90. and a warrior/cleric ff 90. My best one in pvp is the warrior/cleric. your right you do have to do a lto fo weapon switching. But thats what makes it fun. My rogue also does a lot of weapon switching. It has the most powerful attack due to dagers. But people get annoyed by it. I would go with warrior. Such a fun build to play with. I assume wwarlock would be fun also. but with a cleric subclass it wouldnt be as fun as a waarrior/warlock. So IMO i would go with warrior/cleric. But its your desicion.

I see ur point , though I saw this build doing very good in PvE and the poster of this thread said it was for jobbing or PvP.
By this, the build only comes to his use in PvE.

HES RIGHT remember if you get 10 warrior u have 10- on cleric which is really bad. wasting 10 masteries for one skill that will hardly be very important.

id go with the 1hand/2handsword/cleric combo, 1 hand for tanking parties, and 2 hand coupled with 1 hand is almost impossible to beat in pvp with good gear and a bit of weapon switch practice.

warlock is by far the most fun solo euro build.
