IT JUST WON'T OPEN =/ .... HELP ??

well...i installed Windows XP to the computer and had to install Silkroad again....so when i installed it and tried to open the launcher it gives this message " Silkroad.exe has encountered a problem and have to close. Sorry for the inconven.... " =/ i just dont understand why....i tried to do what another post said : change the compabilities to windows 98/ME and it still gives the same message...

my graphics card is ok....everything's ok with my computer....can i know how to solve this??????????? i cant stop playing silk....so 100K for the one who finds out how to resolve it :wink:

Try this: go to Windows/System32/drivers/etc
then open the file named hosts with notepad, then delete the last line that probably says 127.0.0.1 localhost and instead of it write this: 222.111.150.111 gwgt1.joymax.com localhost
save the changes, restart the computer and then try to run the game.
I had the same problem, this helped me :wink:

stupid, dont delete the localhost entry, just change it so its two lines like so:

127.0.0.1 localhost
222.111.150.111 gwgt1.joymax.com
