Smoke weed here. Got arrested with possession 2 months ago. Record will be expunged but it's going to cost me around 2500usd including court fines and these bullshit classes I have to take. Minor bump, but should be resolved soon. This is in Iowa btw. They like reeming you in the ass I guess.

That's nothing. One time I got accused of carrying an illegal firearm and they thought I had contacts in Germany as well. So one day the police came at my door and there were 7 of them and they asked me for my name and then hauled me off into their police car. Had to spent a night in the cell and the next morning I had an conversation with the police officers, and then I could go home. Few days later I had an appointment at a certain place which I won't say here but when I got there, there were 3 special squad members of illegal firearms waiting for me. They told me in a friendly and polite manner to press myself up against the wall while they bodysearched me. They didn't find anything so I took my conversation there and emerged somewhat about an hour later. Then that police officer told me that there were some of his colleagues in my house at that moment going through everything trying to find a Pistol or anything else which is illegal. Then he asked me if I knew about that, then I answered "no sir, I'm still confused about this whole ordeal and the faster it ends the better, I never had anything like this happen to me in my life." So then one of the officers who were with me got a call on his cell phone.

They then took me downtown, gave me nice cup of tea and I had to sign a piece of unrelated paper. Then got a lecture about how dangerous firearms are then I told them I understood them and that I thanked them for their lesson. Then I was a free man, no record, no nothing. Only 1 night in the cell. The actual story is a lot longer especially the conversations with the police but I cba to post every word, you get the gist of it I hope.

Point is. If you placed some actual fore thought into things like that and the things you have been busted for, you should know that you never, never keep anything in your house or on you. And you never direct them to a location where you do know it lies. As long as they have nothing which can give you away. Or work against you, they can't touch you no matter what.

Now that I think about it, I wonder what would have happened if I resisted arrest and avoided to help them out in their "Investigation."

It's strictly to be seen as a life's lesson though. Mind you that in no way should you ever start to do something like that for real. Just keep a cool head during situations like that because when you don't cooperate with their questions they will suspect you even more and they may have grounds to keep you even longer.

At least that's what they show us here on NCIS, CSI, Cold Case, Profiler and Numbers.
