The voice Dialog of the NPC's in Old Tarantia doesn't work, and is pissing me off.

I didn't feel like playing much and I've had the game for exactly a week now and I'm 37.

Where should I go now btw? I did all the quests in khopshef and wild lands of zelata and they didn't send me anywhere else :o
I've been to Poitain but there's only quests for gathering there, I don't think I get xp from those.
Got a shitload of q's in the burning sanctum but every group thinks I'm either too low or that the necro isn't good enough.

It was fun for the first ~30 levels, but now it's all the same imo.
wow had some nice quests, zones and stuff but in AOC it all looks the same. Wild Lands of Zelata & Field of the Dead, one is supposed to be an underworldish zone and the other a semi starting zone. Give me two random screenshots and I can't tell you which zone is which.

The more I play it the more it just looks like a big WOW rip-off, which would be fine but they fail.
It doesn't feel like an MMO, I have to grind out levels and world-pvp is just boring as hell, especially as a necromancer.
If I am about to roll someone they can just sprint away and there's absolutely nothing I can do.
My pets, which are supposed to be 90% of my damage, can't keep up with him and the only negative effect my spells seem to give is the debuff box, not that the debuff actually does something..

I think I'm going to quit, have my testweek coming up as well.

I would say bummer but I'm playing by myself, lol. FoD is a major drag and the Mountains after aren't much better but FC has been vocal with updates and patches are often so I'll continue to play. There's just so much potential here and I'm just now at the half way mark. Besides, if I get tired of the bleh grind I can always reroll.

Exactly, if I don't have a drink running and occasionally use a potion I'm a mana hog as a ToS. Haven't really tried out too many other classes but I would imagine it's the same for their source of energy, stam or mana. The ranger really needs dealt with next, ie nerf. Med armor, insane combos, kb and stuns....what's next a HoT and an "I win" button?

Haven't had too much trouble with rangers to be honest. Only the ones I try to avoid. 2 shot which reduce your walking speed is just too much. :/

The only really annoying class so far for me is a Bear Shaman, because the fights take so damn long. I do, however always come out on top though Even though it takes me a mana pot or 2-3. :/ Have yet to encounter a ToS, would love to see how such a fight would go.

Your mileage will vary. The 2 different trees for the ToS offer different play styles. Even if you come up against one the next one you take could be pretty different. Light spec is max dps with limited variety. Thunder is utility, many aoe, and survivability. I'm creating a light spec, and although the boredom of casting ~2 spells gets to me, I still kick ass. Ranger experience doesn't come from pvp but from guildies and things I see in pve. I have yet to encounter the shaman, as they're scarce, but the things I've heard echo your impressions.

Sounds interesting
Just epic Bubshur's house with some random people, including 2 ToS's(3 healing-capable classes, lol). Must say that it was quite the experience. I never dropped below 80% health, and the DPS they put out can be compared to mine. Wouldn't know which spec they were though.

Our class has 1, maybe more for the other spec, single target spell. Everything else is aoe or cc, so it would make sense if you were doing comparable damage. There's no way to tell which spec they were at such a low level, no visible feat distinctions. Even at higher lvls it is hard to tell with the exception of thunders using their idols.

Finally out of the awful grinding. Oh, how I missed you quests! If you haven't already, head to Thunder River. From Poitan take the road all the way south. Definitely the coolest looking place in the game yet. Waterfalls ftw!

I gave up at like 44 or something, maybe 43 I don't know.
I know a lot of people that have 3x80 now, all because of Keshatta AOE levelling. Apprenticeship ftw eh?

I was bored out of my mind so I decided to level again.
They buffed the necro's so I was all yay lets own this shit!

I come to level 53.. no quests, so I grind out 4 levels in the Cannibal Cave and I get a grand of 10 quests which give me like 70% and I grinded everything I could on my way to the quests oO
I log in today, start doing my usual routine and I die.. I am like wtf happened?

MAJOR nerf to Necromancers.. most gimped class in the game and we got hit by the nerfbat so Farking bad I'm uninstalling this game RIGHT NOW!

Well if you mean looks as graphics and animation, yeah it doesn't look up to recent standards but nethertheless it's a gigantic world with just so many things to do which is why people are excited about Darkfall. It has been in development for 7 years now and if they have implemented at least half the things that were promised it will be an amazing game.

Unless you've played it I think you mean "might," not "will be." It's not the just the graphics and animation, but mostly the art direction and type of setting that I dislike the most. It looks like the generic dark fantasy mmo that has been coming out for a decade. I'm burned out on the orcs and elves setting. It's the WWII of fps.
