CTF Problems today?

I've never had this happen to me before...

Today I've gone into CTF twice. The first time was during heavy server traffic. We all spawned in the arena, no mobs spawned, the flag was already attached to our pole, and then I got DC'd. Took me like an hour to get back on.

Next CTF started, no mobs spawned, we had the flag, but I didn't get DC'd. WTH happened? Is this something that occurs regularly, or is the server/game bugged today?

It's a bug, happens often on lower lvl's but it's possible to occur at the higher lvl's too hehe

I'm level 31 at the moment....which is awesome for CTF because when I get thrown in with the 4x people (happens a lot now) I get like 25% of a level from the mobs.

what the heck? how can u be with 40+ ppl? im 32 and in with levels 31-34

yes that is a regular bug in lower lvl event
if you have the flag when you start dont click on it (touch it) or you will dc
just scroll to get out of event
if you have no mobs just scroll to get out
sometimes you have the flag and mobs that higher lvl, but when they kill you, cant res on your own, but someone else can res you

3rd try today and this time I spawned there, nobody else did, instant DC. Son of a bitch.

There's a reason why we shouldn't play CTF during Server Traffic hours. Personally, today, I think it was a good thing the server disconnected so many people. I was able to avoid the 0.83% PoC on Venus.

Sadly, it seems that Joymax's christmas patch to fix the CTF bug is "coming off" and bug games are becoming more frequent, this coming from a lvl 57 and a lvl 63 players.

So...I'm level 32. As of now, I am lying on the ground and some level 60 penguin is tea bagging me. Unable to res, I can only cry until the 15 minutes are up. CTF is awesome!

Sorry, but I only went to ctf from 75+ for this reason. Too buggy. At 75+ I never had a bugged ctf.

From what I remember, weekends are usually are usually bad for CTF. CTF starting right after inspection to Friday is least likely to be bugged.

Sigh Here's a re-cap of CTF for the newbs that recently joined:

1) Best CTF was ONLY during xmas event when they enabled the safe-spawn room.

2) Bugs will always happen. Most frequent occurrence for bugs occur at players under 8d, usually lvl 70-75 and under. Higher lvl rarely have bugs. Bugs are usually caused either by not enough ppl registering for your lvl group, but the computer still sticks you in a higher or lower lvl group that is missing some people. Bugs occur more often during weekends after inspection. My guess would be whatever algorithm they use to separate the mass players into groups starts to lose it's accuracy after being used for x number of times.

3) If you are bugged, Do NOT touch the flag. Since cape ticket farming is no longer possible, enter the event with a return scroll just in case. Scroll if you notice it is bug. Scroll only if no mobs spawn.

Some noticed bugs: Only once in 100 events have i had the other team have spawn, we have none, but we can kill at the door, but we will have the flag that no one can touch. VERY RARE.
Mobs that are over your lvl
Being stuck with ppl wayyy over your lvl
Two keys dropping
Two flags ( one real, one ghost )
No respawning
Flag in hall is not on the pole, so no touching flag
Flag in room, touch = dc
Instant birthday DC
Lag-out DC
Invisible detection trick (no pk2 or pills needed)


4) Summary? Event blows. If you have turks on your team, they will prob spawn camp. Not being racist, just a fact that 99% of the time this occurs.

Fix: None so far. All these bugs are old and have not been fix, prob won't either. Just hope for the best when you enter. The safe room was nice, but looks like JM doesn't enjoy fair play so whatever. I haven't been on in awhile, so add any new bugs that may have risen, but from all the ctf i've played ( i played ALOT {roughly blew my savings and about another 40 mil on it (just for pots, detection pills, etc.}), those seem to be the major bugs.

Oh god ignorance. Everyone spawn camps. There is no 99% of the time it's turks, 99% of the time you will get spawn camped, by EVERYONE.
