Computer help.
Ok so today i was just surfing the internet, and then suddenly all the icons and everything disappeared of the desktop. So i restarted the computer, and now it gives me the blue screen saying. " the computer is being shut down to prevent serious errors". If i open in it in safe mood, the stuff on the desktop keep disappearing, and appearing again.I already ran a virus scan in safe mood, don't know what else to do...
Thanks in advance for the help.

Re: Computer help.
Sounds like you got a virus. Or you installed hardware incorrectly.
Try restoring your PC to an earlier date. (Hopefully you have System Restore turned on)

Re: Computer help.
Well, every time i turn the computer on, i have to press f1, because the computer can't recognize the hardware or something like that, but i have had that for more than a month.

The countdown to startup and shutdown usually suggest that the copy of your Windows installation is not a valid copy, or did not pass the Genuine validation. This could be the cause of an illegal Windows installation or simply the Microsoft website not working like its supposed to.
OT: Did you install or download anything recently that might have caused the issue? Usually a BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) means there is a software conflict which is crashing the system. When starting up your computer, try selecting the "Use last known good configuration" option. It will revert your system to a time when everything was working without conflicts. It may or may not work, but it's worth a try. A reformat should be used as a last resort.

Re: Computer help.
The last good config is still isn't working, the explorer.exe keep restarting then the bsod comes up. Last thing i installed was photoshop, but yesterday when it started to happen i found a program that kept popping up called "virus remover 08". I haven't downloaded or installed that program, it's like it downloaded and installed itself. I tried removing it in safe mood, but explorer.exe keeps restarting and then crashes.

Use your windows disk. It will boot using the disk and you should be able to repair your current installation. It won't need booting into windows so it wont crash.

Oh, the "Virus Remover 08" is basically a fake antivirus program and you usually get those from torrent sites. The program installation is bundled with that malware so installing your software would result in the installation of the malware. It likes to mess around with your desktop settings and it will sometimes even change your background and disable you from changing your desktop settings.
Anyway, the fix for it is rather extensive. Try this; Virus Remover 2008 Removal Info (VirusRemover2008)

Re: Computer help.
Err.. if you have one harddrive, just format the whole drive and install windows onto it. Don't partition it at all... if you mean you have two harddrives with windows installed on both, just format the bad copy and use that harddrive for space.
