I'm probably going to see this.
But from the previews it looks kinda, erh...cheesy? I'm not 100% sure what it is, but I have a feeling that this movie will be a let down.

Re: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
So anyone see it yet? Opinions?
Seems the folks at rotten tomatoes don't seem to like it, at all. But I tend to take their reviews with a grain of salt, most of them make me wonder why they went to see it if they were expecting an "awesome plot" or "more human feel". It's a movie about huge robots, come on, what did they expect?
I'm going because I loved the first one and want to see all the (what looks to be awesome) cgi..
I'm NOT going for a touching story line with an inspirational message... /end RT rant =P

Re: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
Saw it tonight
Aside from the problems with projecting, the crowd, the smell, and the late start the movie was still horrible. The whole thing felt like an arduous undertaking. Theres a massive amount of lore in this film and the lore is used mostly to drive the plot that without explanation of the lore would seem no more a threat to earth than Megatron was in the first movie. While this is true that the same things are at stake the lore is supposed to make the villian behind it more fearsome. Instead the movie exposes all this info and only touches on the parts that it needs to propel the plot leaving a TON of "huh?" moments. When the plot advance comes not from sequence but from some forced incoherent pieces that are supposed to make sense it just kill the film. Its like taking a chemistry course and they just give you a page with all the formulas on it, highlight a few, and tell you those are the ones you should be looking at even though you need the other formulas to make sense of the ones they want you to look at. The special effects were pretty good and you get to see alot of transformers. Sadly the ones you do see talk way to much and everything they say is retarded and not worth listening to. There are some awesome fights though, well one really.
All in all if you like explosions, cheap laughs, and have some time to kill its ok. I won't be excited to see this movie again though and would be perfectly fine not seeing it again. Its not bad, its just so far from good
5/10

Only reason I'm going to see it. Wasn't expecting a good plot, or a comedy. Weehoo.

Re: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
Saw it last night. Just gave me a headache.
Sure it had good explosions and all that crap.. but it was around 2.5 - 3 hours. A film about good robots fighting bad robots should not last that long.
I wish i had gone to sleep and just woken up for the last 45 mins, cause that bit was kinda good. But by that time i was just wishing for the film to end..
So yeah, i will NOT be watching that again. First was better, and that wasn't very good.

Yeah, all of my friends loved the first one. And to me it was just kinda good. Like a 6-7/10. And this one looks even worse so I'm not sure I wanna spend $8 to go see it.

Just saw it last night; movie ended around 3AM. It's definitely worth the wait and the money IMO.

Does seem kinda' rude but hey, we all have our days.
Since you're wondering, I'm 20.
My cousin was bored and called me around 11PM and asked if I wanted to watch Transformers 2. Why the hell would I say no? But seriously, i enjoyed the movie and if someone else would rather watch an anime show about Japanese schoolgirls instead of this movie, that's their choice. I try not to judge
