How not to DC in CTF

Post by RogueKiller »

Method to not Dc'ing in CTF.

Press Escape --> Options
Click on the video section.
Scroll down to effect quality, set it to Turn Off All Effects.
Now what this does is sets everything such as imbue, buffs to not show up on your screen. Just set it to this while you kill the mobs that spawn. After your done killing the mobs switch it back and you should be fine. I personally have not dced in about 2 weeks from this. I also had a guildmate try it and he says it works.

Try it out and tell me if it works for you guys.

No. You guys have it confused with what I'm explaining.
Ok, during the beginning of CTF many people tend to dc. Not because CTF is bugged (No mobs/Key etc..) but for reasons I don't know. Many of the CTF I see people killing mobs and half way through just randomly DC. Happened to me too and if it didn't the teams would end up being 5 vs 4 and numbers like that.
But when you do what I mentioned before it doesn't DC you for attacking the mobs.

We are not confused. Even if it never happened to me I have seen other people being disconnected like that. He asked a question and I answered.

Yo man, since we both from aege, my question is, how do you not get irritated by how long it takes to get into aege, i swear it is turning into the next babel man...
However thx for the tip on the CTF, might try it,
aege is going into the shythole, i don't think its worth it to stay any longer.

LOL..no offense but I suggest buying a better computer, to go to such "extremes" in CTF probably indicates is nearly impossible for u to play normally in Fortress War......anyone with a decent pc, ~3-4 gigs of ram/average video card shouldn't have much trouble playing with "normal" settings.
