How long are the battery life on those things?

I've always been afraid that while I'm playing Starcraft the mouse would die.

networks you fool, who would use a wireless keyboard/mouse for gaming is epic fail when the battery is dead

as for the wireles net it runs from mains on the router and power from the usb for the dongle

I use wireless keyboard/mouse, I only have problems with the keyboard. My mouse has a thing that will tell me when the battery is about to be out.

The batteries for my wireless mouse last 2-4 months, and it gives you a warning before the batteries run out. Even when the battery is low, it does not become choppy, just puts out a warning. So, its not really epic fail.

Same goes with the keyboard, except batteries in the keyboard last even longer.

I don't know about that wong. More mouse mobility is great for FPS games. I do great in Halo with my wireless mouse.

Yeah I love the freedom of wireless. If I'm tired I just bring my keyboard and mouse and just lie down in bed = win.

LOL I use a wireless laptop mouse to game, and I've never had a problem with it other than the battery running out, but that only happens every 1.5 months and it takes seconds to change

look i can say to you with certainty you get better reaction speed with wired and if you say no il prove it scientifically, but all wireles components will lag ever so slightly as the battery gets lower unles you can keep the battery 100% its gona start to slow the down the moment you put them batterys in you just wont notice it until the power gets really low

Well my mouse tells me when battry is getting low so I have never let it to slow down and I have never noticed it slowing down. I have always used this mouse to play FPS's and I would say that I was pretty good at ET. (don't play it anymore so dunno how good I am atm)

Could be caused by several things. Im going to assume that you cant get your computer to connect. As already mentioned by someone else. Check the cable to make sure its okay. Especially if its a homemade cable (cables that havent been crimped correctly can cause connection problems). Make sure that its connected to your router as well as your computer.

Doesnt look like a drivers problem. If it was the drivers you wouldnt even be getting the Network cable unplugged error.

If your running XP you can do a couple things to test your connection.

1. Goto Start>Run type CMD and in the command prompt type IPCONFIG

Since its saying your cable is unplugged chances are you arent gona have an IP assigned from your router.

2. Try to ping your router. in the command prompt type Ping 192.168.1.1 (can be different depending on your router but its usually 192.169.1.1 or .0.1)

If you can ping the router it might be a router problem. Check your router config and make sure its setup right. again configs are different depending on the router you have. Most of them come setup with defaults that should let u go online right off the bat with DHCP enabled.

But if none of that helps then i got nothin

- drivers
- Cable might be broken
- Re-install the device in the device manager
- A hardware conflict.
