YO!

im currently 36 blader, fire imbue full str. 104% physical balance.
my skills are level 29. (bicheon, fire,lightning,cold).

My question..
just got the 2 and 3rd book of chains..
They look neat, but I kill much slower with them than with knockdown.

What I do when I am out grinding, run up to mob, slap on imbue, usually just the first of book fire force I, do knockdown, mob looses like half its hp. if knocked down, i just stab then run to next, my wolf does 1-2 hits and it dies, else just hit it 2-3times and run.
each mob takes about 5-10 sec tops.
These are orange monsters

But with chains, Im much much slower, will this improve later on?
as I understood it, chains was the shit for bladers.
Seems to me knockdown is much faster for pve related stuff.. be it farming sp/questing.

Some input would be appreciated, pardon the badly formulated post

well by judging by the picture you have... im guessing you have a SOM blade...

which would cause you to do ALOT more damage than a regular +3 blade user...

if you had a regular +3 blade and used KD it would take away about 30% of the orange mobs health... then the stab would be about 25%...
then you would have to sit there and wait for it to stand up again... even with a wolf...

but with chains you can just attack it until its dead... which ends up being faster because you dont have to wait for the mob to get up...

plus if KD doesnt work... it has kind of a pause after you use it... which wastes even more time...

I wouldnt... 60 ice = 84 phys defense for 20k SP's, which is alot of extra hassle.

Then only take like 5 ranks for imbue and leave it ... the freeze effect is only useful for a while anyway ... later on more dmg dealt = faster kill = less dmg taken, and the freeze becomes outdated fast.

I just started my blader (conviced by your awesome guide)
its lvl 16 and its already slow to lvl ...
I have exp helper 60% and 100% should I use it now or kep for later ?

is it okey 2 farm for about 200k in lvls 16-20 and PL all the way till max lvl?

im going 2 take 4 masteries blade/fire/ice/lightning

^ well if you're going full str, the you no doubt want bicheon skills to be maxed out, and the probably your main magic. then depending on what u wanna do with the other two you can make one maxed and keep the other at what 60? or keep em even at 75? *sorry too lazy to calculate*

so its like for blade is 90 and fire is also 90

and for ice and lightning is only likely 60

i don't like ice bcoz of pleanty of people have high magical def againts ice

and its only usefull on PVM

It's VERY useful defense wise, the passive and buff both increase defence.

I dont know about the concentration seris, why would you add it if you have Heaven's Force Series. Is that not a wast of sp points.
I am creating a new person. Glave light pur str. I am going to have fire but i am wondering if i should keep my fire up as well .
becuase i planned it to 17 to get lvl 1 Fire Protection Series and the Flame Devil Force Series to lvl 1. any replie will be greatly appreciated thnx.

Id train fire just as much or more than light because of the strong imbue but most importantly the phys atk and mag. defence buffs. Mag defence is a must for a glavier. Concentration series adds on to what Heaven's Force does-- raising the parry ratio with both of these will make the enemy do the lower side of the dmg with their wep. Ex: Spear with atk power 400-550, if you have higher parry ratio than his weps atk ratio then he will do closer to 400. How close it is to 400 depends on how much more parry ratio you have than his atk ratio, and so every little bit helps. Definitely get Concentration and lvl up fire a bit if you want to fare well in pvp versus nukers.

I'm going pure strength for my blader, however as a newb I put three points into my intelligence. I kind of regret this now, Is it worth starting new because of this? I have already done a lot of sp farming with this character already.

Will this affect me at all in the long run? any consequences or perhaps benefits from doing this? Any feedback will be much appreciated.

Hey! I am a lvl 40 blader (not pure str i have a physical balance of 85), And i really dont know how to use the.. uhrw. things. You know them things you can change with F1, F2, F3 and F4. I have so many skills!

Can you post some screenshots? Would be nice.
Also, I have a SoS blade lvl 32, And a SoS shield lvl 32. I want to buy a SoS blade lvl 42. Is that wise or should i save my money for an SoS blade lvl 52?

About the ice: I think I'm gonna keep that at lvl 30 since i hate sp farming and I only have it for the physical defense. (2 books) Will i die alot at higher lvls if i do that? I'ts just that sp farming is so boring :wink:

I'll add something to this

Cause I'm making a new character that's a Blader.

I would level to 20 so I can kill chajki workers. Then de level to 16, reallocate mastery to 7, this will leave you with 9 level gap.

Farm from 16-20 with this sorta gap and you get 11,156 SP.
Do this 9 times and you will have 100,404 SP.

I will do this 15 times, leaving me with 167,340 SP at level 20, get your gold ticket out and start leveling with no gap, you will have more the enough SP left when you reach the level gap, the farm more at the cap for future updates ^_^

Blade IGN: Avalon Lv 16-20-16-20-16-20-16-20-16-20-16-20-16-20-16-20-16-20 and so on...
Server: Olympus - Farming with SOS Level 16+2 17 BR & Level 8 SOSUN Blade 14 CRITICAL, lots of blues and high %, stronger then level 24+3 Glavie ^_^

You nut. Thats exactly what im in the process of doing

Ive done it 3 times thus far, a few more times left then off to leveling with 0 gap. Ive found 2 SOS too, lvl 28 female tasset and lvl 21 male chest (garm).
Hardest part of all this is deleveling though, make sure to have a friend that can spare 30-45 minutes ressing you.

My guild has recently engaged in some war, of which PvP with other guilds were carried out(with pots...of coz).. i realised that while i dun die easy, i cant kill others easy too... especially with another pure Str, i always end up in a pot fight that goes nowhere until a pure intel comes and nuke either one of us away.. I figured pure str glaive would perform better in PvP in terms of offense? Or is it tt my battle plan sux.

My move for PvP: run to him, imbue, Kd..if worked stab.. while KD is recharging becoz of failure, i shoot off a 3-hit chain...but priority goes to casting kd and stab.

Without pots i can win anyone my lvl easy(bow if no starting dit allowed) if luck allows my KD to work often. But with autopot i struggle even with a pure intel in armour. I suspect this is becoz KD+Stab can be potted thru with a high AutoPot %...rendering me usless... Is this a flaw of blader? that it only offers a good tank and useless offense relative to glaives? Or is there any good battle plan out there to help me improve in PvP?

My blader is lvl 30 now. He is pretty average in pvp, though that is because I have full sos armor and sos +3 blade. In most pvp I can take on a lvl 32 - 35 str/hybrid and up to a lvl 32 nuker.

I guess the problem for me is that I have a 9 lvl gap and I can't deal out as much damage as I would with maxxed skills. If I were to max everything up I think I could probably take on a little more. Maybe you should try getting some ice as well. It helps with phys def so it is worth it.

My questions to you are this:
Why are you at a war? I would be afraid that high lvl people would one shot me.

What is your lvl gap, if you have one?

Do you have a good shield with a higher br? Br is a wonderful thing for us. As is I have a lvl 26+3 shield with 18 br. It blocks a lot of the attacks that can take me down. That plus some ice and kd is the ultimate death to a lot of people.
