unable to launch sro (xp 64bits)

Post by sinny »

im trying to play sro again, but after i install the game, launch the game, it got to the screen where you press "start", but the start button dont come up at all then the game close like a few second after. so i couldnt do anything. i tried to click on the game to launch it again, nothing happen, i check the process in the task manager, what i saw is that when i click on the game, it launch for a second, then the game process appear on the task manager, then it end, and the game doesnt do anything... no error message or anything, the game just peacefully close, im using window xp 64 bits, so im wondering if that's the cause of the problem, (i can run many other games fine)

PLEASe HELP!!!!
Tips:
1.Don't underestimate Ice Wall and Fire Wall series.
2.Every build has at least one weak point, observe it and counter it.
3.Your build has at least one weak point, recognize it and minimize it.

try going to your main SRO exe files and changing their compatability
to xp or 98
sometimes this helps

If you mean the start button doesn't come up when you launch the silkroad loader thingy go to silkroadonline.net until it works... otherwise try this copy pasta I wrote in a different thread:

"Hm.. this is a random guess, best I can give you on the information provided and my knowledge - Could it be DEP causing these issues?
Right-click my computer, properties, advanced tab, under performance click settings. Go to the Date Execution Prevention tab and make sure its set to work for "essential windows programs and services only"."
