The Stall Network Tactic

Post by aznronin »

Alright, I have noticed something with the stall network:
My example is 7 degree alchemy tablets, the STR tabs are being increased, I am starting to believe that someone is taking the concept of buying and reselling and expanding it.
I think that first he is buying all the STR tabs from the stall network and reselling them, however he is buying ALL, so that there is no competition between sellers. The thing is, when there is no one selling something, but only one person, that one person has the power to increase the prices because no one is selling and people are desperate for it.
Can anyone confirm this? And I know that this is somewhat similar to real life.

You just said it bro, simple logic...
Theoreticly, of someone does that, than yes, he will control the prize of that thing in the market.
It's even more simple.
Just check what is missing on the market and sell it...expensive...
Works good for me :)

Come on... this concept is really mean, I mean like it's similar to real life, but it's just evil, your running people into the shythole, and prices will keep going up because people demand these items.
Dutchy I've seen you a couple of times in aege lol. MEAN!
Imagine you doing this in real life!!

easiest way to make money when u already hav tons.

ppl is buyin ALL the 250-300k wep elixirs and selling em for 400-500k. like 90% of wep elixirs r beein sold for 400k+

mentioning real life, happens the same in da stocks market. buy low, sell high, re-buy low and re-sell high. this problem is only solved when the buyers just stop to buy from the smart seller.
Looking for the perfect MMORPG.

This concept with elixirs is somewhat difficult because in Hotan there are so many elixirs, you can find a weapon elixir 300k even though there is like 400k ones, plus you can't keep track of like 20 pages++ can is constantly being updated. And the there is too much competition with it so if you buy so many to eliminate the competition, people will still keep putting 300k ones.
This is so evil.... but sooner or later more people will do this... and then.. maybe me lol?
When one person starts it... it multiplies.... dam it Dutchy and big dream!!!!

well in our server i can tell you prices during the day are useally 100K higher then during the night. for a example just b4 i go to bed and just when i woke up i can buy weap elix for about 250-300 and 5 hours later i can sell me for 400K.

Yesterday just b4 i went to bed i bought 60 Prot elix for 99K each 6 hours later i sold em for 250K each thats almost 150% pure profit! right there.

you can do this to any alchamy needed item cuz they are consumption goods ppl use em once and need more!
unlike Armors wich you prolly will only buy once cuz you'll be using em forever. ppl think 150K a elix well thats like nothing but you have to see the bigger picuture of it, not selling 1 elix but more like 100 or 1000 then you see the profits rolling .
As for me i'm lucky with alchamy aswell i made 87+9 earings sold em for 1.3 bill and used allot of that money to make more money lol

_Dutchi_ i like the way you think. But not the way you're (not) using those things -> ....

Anyway... the secret of making money is to know how to sell.
My personal tactic is to watch the stalls when i can (i have 2 PCs).
I set 4 or 5 diff stones on them. As soon as i see someone bought, i PM him. And offer him to sell him more with some discount :)
I had times when i sold more than 60-80 chalenge stones to 1 person.
You just have to know what and how to do :)
The first 2 weeks of 9d, before they add the new items in the stall network i made little more than 1 bil pure profit...
Because most of the people are lazy to search and compare prises...
And when you run through the stalls at hotan, you memorize them. Someone wends a global WTB something, you already know where it is and you just resel it :) Thank god most of the people are lazy like hell :P

why not u take the market from him ... save all ur str(or what ever tabs) in storage and when u have alot try selling it with 5% lower than his price ..... u know what will happen :D? ... he is the one who will buy them all  ... at least u got alot of money just 5% lower from his price .. and if u kept selling to him he will lose all his money then u win

The thing is I use STR quick because I keep on using them to pimp my gear. I don't get it, because actually you would lose profit doing that, he is the one making money.

used to do it with elixirs myself, buy out a whole type, set my own price a bit higher then normal, but at a price that normally would not sell and they sold but that takes a open storage and a good amount of gold to do

and to what the punisher said

that can also work if you wait for them to go afk, set yours below theirs, other people will buy yours first, or he'll buy yours to knock you out the market

Well this might work against less Experienced sellers.
but me on the otherhand :) i have huge money reserves cuz i know how to play the market well the only problem i could get would be running outa storage.
but thats even unliky ^^

If you have 100% market share...you control the pricing.

Same shit works if you notice someone buying every single str stone you have, you up the price. I bought every single d9 stone a while ago for my 87 neck and eventually the price went to 4.5m on each from 2.7. Ended up making more gold than losing but I got screwed over slowly xD

The game is already ruined by the gold bots, these people (unlike retarded gold buyers that all they do is waste cash) are smart and know how the market works.

I made quite a few a millions playing arround with this when the price of elixirs went sky high (when the 90 cap came)
I bought all elixir weapon that were below my price and sold them higher.

Meh. I always try to sell stuff cheap because it's more affordable for everyone.

I usually sell accessory and shield elixirs for 100k a piece just because I have so many of them, and they're filling up GS now, too. I never sell weapon or protector just because it saves me a bunch of money if I don't have to buy any when I need them (since they are expensive -.-)

Well not everyone have to understand it - more profit for me :) The point is ypu get the costumer only for you offering him little cheaper prises or if he needs only 10% stones or whatever :) The costumer is happy, you are happy and my staller's friend list is full of people who always PM me when they need smth :P
