IE7 freezes when i close a tab when having multiple tabs

I'm using Windows XP sp3.
Whenever i am browsing, i tend to open links in new tabs, and at the moment when i want to close one of the tab the Internet Explorer completely freezes, and the only way to close is to go to task manager and put an end to the Process.
Resetting Internet Explorer settings to the default does not work. This annoys me so much.
Please don't tell me to use any other browser. I will be so appriciated if you can help me.

Uninstall =/ IE sucks and has bugs. Should just use FireFox. Yes, that wasn't helpful at all, I know.

I had the exact same thing, never wanted to switch to another browser like you. Googled a bit, tried some 'solutions' that were supposed to fix it, nothing helped.
Installed FireFox + Adblock = Happy Ru Yi

Wish I done that before. My spyware and other rubbish decreased so much it's insane.
