That was a trailer for ksro's legend 8. The person who wrote that article has bad english, maybe when they said silkroad online 2 they meant a new legend....
Joymax has built up a new development group based on the original developers of Silkroad Online for the development of Silkroad Online II.The project has just been started and there are about developers working for it. The game is preliminarily scheduled to release in 2010.

It was time, now the client contains many duplicate images, much non padron name models, much killed files, counting the horrible system of decompression directx, a game made with several different groups is not to work.

This is really good. The game mechanics are horrible, and this is their chance to "fix" things.
But does that mean we're all going to have to start all over again?
I'm not even 90 yet. I would hate to get to 90, then have to get all the way to 90 again.
But does that mean we're all going to have to start all over again?

I dont think it will be a sro 2.0, but more of a NEW version of sro with differences in the gameworld.
Kinda like if you compare the Fable 1 and Fable 2 worldmaps.

I havent played fable, nor do i know anything about it.
But i doubt Joymax would change a lot in the world map, since the Silk Road is actually based on these areas and cities. Maybe they make the map as it is in the real world

Thnx cin for sig & Hershey for avy

Yeah, but the thing i meant is that they will probably not be the exact same area but with better graphics. I think they will change the areas a little, but the names & inspirations will still be the same.
Re: Silkroad online 2???
Good idea is good. So I'll be buying GW 2, and d/ling SRO 2 a year later. It would be wise to release all three races and start at a low cap. Hopefully updates are done in a timely fashion.

It makes me think.. if Silkroad 2 is really going to be built completely from scratch.. would the devs really recreate the current map? Mm..
That said, for Silkroad to become as mainstream as WoW or even Lineage, there will need to be some major changes in the way Joymax manages things.
I suppose you're right. They do got 30 developers working on the game along with the publicity of being awesome(ignoring the grind fest).. so.. It might be possible that they're recreating from scratch. Which would sorta explain why Joymax keeps releasing suits every couple weeks or so. Raising money for the dev team?

Re: Silkroad online 2???
if they fix it -> leave a lower cap -> in game GM -> better jobbing -> better unique system -> no bots

If this 'SRO2' is anything like other WELL RUN MMO's then being 90 or .. well capped is not a neccessity.

Ur cool.
If its P2P do you think we'll still have to buy premiums then?
Re: Silkroad online 2???
Wouldn't it be easier to fix & update the current one !!!
Maybe joymax noticed that this game attracts no new players . The only low players there are ver.2 accounts (as i like to call) for high level players . anyone can notice that ong pfarm spots has more players than Jangan,Const & Samarkand together .

Re: Silkroad online 2???
Think our characters will transfer to 2.0? Kinda like how when wow gets a new "Verison" or expansion. They just buy the cd install and continue playing.

I'm betting on this. I doubt they'd kill off everything and risk losing it all.

Re: Silkroad online 2???
Sorry about coming back here but i kinda had to. I heard about this in game, read that "article" and really thought i had to post.
Personally, i dont see how this information is credible at all. They simply say its coming, but wheres a reference post? A link to a source that suggests it is actually happening? How would mmo site find out of joymax? A phone call? If there was some kind of media article announcing the release by joymax why not link to it? Frankly its just words with no justification, words that shouldn't be believed.
Also the pics are simply Isro screenshots. Nothing new? Didn't watch the video but the title, KSRO VIII seems like it has nothing new either, just a KSRO update. Until they can get some kind of source or reference i dont see why this should be believed at all.
In a more positive note if its actually released, i would play it, even if it was p2p I'd give it a go. I like SRO, so im sure i would like SRO2

Why is everyone trusting mmosite? I don't see it anywhere on Silkroadonline.net...

If this is made I would like to see a sort of tagging system for mobs. To stop kill stealing and whatnot.

Yeah I read yours and I was like...he makes a very very good point, why trust just mmosite? Oh well, it'd be cool if it came, but until Silkroadonline.net says anything, it's a fake.
