I would'nt say hottest, but it may appear like it at times. In the summer, temperature can average to about mid-high eightys, what really kills you though is the temperature and the humidity, it makes it feel alottttttttt hotter. But in the winter time, temperatures can be up and down, with cold fronts and all, I would say around 70 in december/january on average

California is experiencing a heat wave with mid 70's F in the middle of January. Supposedly records are being broken. The radar forecast has no precipitation over the whole state of cali and we've (where I am at least) have had close to no rain so far

Drought FTL

Yesterday in Western Australia (massive heatwaves happening there) there was a recorded temperature of 54.5 celsius, that's about 130 fahren, not including a humidity factor, which is the highest temperature ever recorded since 1989.

Being the worlds driest inhabited country, and constantly in a drought it's bound to be hot, I guess it grows on you though. I don't know what the drought in California is like, but damn over here we're often on Level 5 water restrictions, being 2 minute showers, can't water the garden, can't wash the car. etc
