Trades

So I was hunting today with a 5* trade, and my hunter friends told me that the higher level the trader is, then the more exp we will get as hunters. Also the higher level his trader level is, the more exp we will recieve.

Is this true?

I don't know about the trader level being a factor, but I do know that you can carry more goods per trade as you get higher in character level.
