Update:
Premium E-mail Service Opened! Jan 02, 2009
Hello. This is Silkroad Online.

We have started E-mail service from Dec 23.

As it is the first time launching E-mail service, E-mail Service will start as premium service to premium users only.

Premium users are referred to users with payment history in Silkroad Online.

When E-mail service stabilized and established, we are planning to provide this service to all users of Silkroad Online.

Our E-mail service could be delayed or answers could be not satisfied due to the first time opening E-mail service.

However, we will try our best to improve this E-mail service.

Thank you.

This game is officially peer-to-peer? I'm not sure what you mean.

Surely you can't mean p2p as in "pay to play" can you? I've been getting along just fine in this game, for over 2 and a half years, without spending a single penny.

Yeah vortexx is right.. No matter how much you try to blend it away, staying low lvl isnt half as much fun as being 90.

I think he meant once you reach cap you don't have to buy silk anymore (buy silk just to get cap)

only $~90 dollars is need to have a cap 90 acc. with enough SP for 100 cap.
or $60 dollars if you are willing to SP farm for a bit longer without P+

if JM, makes it impossible for plving system to work, there income could triple, since it would take much longer to hit cap, thus more P+

I could be a lot higher level if I was more active. Being capped doesn't require money, only time. I don't have time, so I level quite slow. It doesn't bother me. *gasp* I actually have fun playing the game, at any level! If I get bored, I log out.

I'll get to 80+, perhaps 90, someday.

People fail to realize that there is no plvling system. There is an Academy System that people abuse and turn into a power leveling system. It was meant for high levels to "show the ropes" to low levels, explain the game, maybe go grind with them, things like that... and both players get some exp bonuses for it.

I highly doubt Joymax intended guardians to just have a party of 7 players tracing them on horses 24/7 or even 3/7. They built the euro party system to get people to party together more, and the academy system to give people more exp bonuses for helping each other out. But that should require you to actually play the game.

I think it has to be recent silk history (how recent idk)..cuz one of my accs. that has "old" silk history get "Unable to use current service"...don't matter if you don't have Premium running.

No.. I meant what I said. Playing and capping out doesn't require any money. Sure buying stuff allows you to get to the cap faster, but you do NOT need it. To be at the other levels of other people then you probably might wanna buy a suit and devil spirit.

Sure. This game is free. You don't have to pay a single penny to play, but you won't get any of the benefits. Leveling will be a lot slower. You won't be able to sign in when ever you want. You won't have a pick up pet or an avatar (unless they do the jewel box event again) or even the new devil spirit. But that's the way it should be. Paying players SHOULD get all the benefits because THEY are the ones paying so you can play free.

Even with the new premium email service, I think paying customers should have first grabs at it. Also, from what I got out of their announcement, I think it will start for paying players to reduce spam and EVENTUALLY all players will get to use it. So don't think that this game is "officially P2P" yet.
 Moving to Aion Online. Goodbye, Silkroad. You won't be missed.
