Weird FPS Lag

Okay, you know how people only frame lag in cities and places where there are more masses of people? For me, it frame lags the same everywhere. I'm not sure what the problem is, because this laptop is only two days old. Sometimes, when I reboot it, everything's fine. However, usually it's frame laggy. The salesman had said that this laptop had an excellent graphic card for gaming, as well. I am beginning to doubt it...


Anyways, here are my specs:

Manufacturer & Model: Hewlett-Packard - HP G60
Memory (RAM): 3.00 GB
Graphic card: NVIDIA GeForce 8200M G
System type: 32-bit Operating System
Operating System: Windows Vista


Not sure what is affecting or causing the problem... I only have Windows Live Messenger, Firefox, Ventrilo, and SoldierFront downloaded. Stuff like Norton Protection Center also exist on this notebook.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. :D

well from reading some things its not really meant for gaming, several things it might be.

overheating

but if u have norton, its a heavy resource hog so it could be bogging down ur system.

Yeah, I dumped Norton for AVG now. Lag still happens in 3D games. I think there is something wrong with my driver's configuration?

no, i dont think that would be it, but it wouldnt hurt to reinstall drivers, what settings is it on?

I put all the possible 3D settings I see to maximum 'Performance', instead of 'Quality'. However, nothing changed.

trying lowering the ingame settings to like medium or some where around there or even lower if it will get rid of the lag.

Hmm... It seems to run better now once I ran it as administrator...

i dont think he has not read what you have said
i have a 512ddram shared grahpics and when i run sro (on low settings) with avg xfire and msn
it doesnt lag to bad
