Our friend Pif has been hacked. Now NanDesKa of BH somehow got Pif's glaive and is selling it off via global as we speak. I did PM him and let him know that Pif is murderer because another person got control of his account.

NanDesKa's reply?

He isnt interested.

I can remember when it was Phunky getting hacked. We all rallied around him, even ppl not in his guild. I guess BH cannot rmember what it was like to see their friends hacked and lose it all....

I thought so too... That is the only reason I PMed him, cause I figured, all argument aside, getting hacked suks big time and in the past, that has been something that has leveled the playing field. I tried to help Phunky when he got hacked and in return, he gave me 200K when I got hacked. Now that isnt much, but he was still recovering from massive deleveling...

BH gets less and less respect everyday. I am more shocked at what they become every time I look.

Ohh, if it's true it's sad.

Your 2 alliances seem to be officially friends (hum "not ennemies" may be rather right) but in game it's war in each corner.
That's what it looks from a very external point of vue, because I don't even play on this server.
SuicideGrl can't/doesn't want to justify himself (For BHA I mean, not personally). He seems less active on this forum than he used too - maybe too many things to do to run everything well ?
Maybe he should just be helped ? No one would blame him for that.
And it's sure that public threads like this one are not helping if Sui has trouble running BHA.
To be honest nightbloom, you take all you can to attack Sui personally. Maybe a little sympathy would help to solve these problems between leaders ?

Not that I give judgment on anyone but it's sad to see this kind of public opinion war.

(btw sorry for my english - I hope most of my sentences makes sens ^^)

BH is now very powerful well was when i quit and with great power come great responsibility Jay does all he can to run the alliance but each member is a free spirit so problems do occur and im sure as your alliance is an allie with ours you wil sort the problems out but try speaking to mamba or sui as they are the head of BH in which Nan is part of

you can't blame people for beeing oppertunists thou. this pip person might be in your guild. but is he known by as many blackhands as avalons know phunky ? Etc.

If this deska doesnt know pip nor anyone else in blackhand, its a random stranger to them and returning stuff from a random stranger is not something anyone would do.

Ofcourse, most feel pity for people who got hacked, without using 3rd party programs/etc and would perhaps return items. even help out with new items if they knew the person.

I wasnt on when this happened, im in BHA, all I heard was ancientpif murdered babyvegas_71(lvl 39) and taxcollector. Hunter backup from union came fast killed him and babyvegas got his item in the squirrel, and she pm'd him saying "thats for making it worth getting murdered"

I wasn't on either but from what I've heard - as bambski mentioned pif murdered tax & baby. phunky and deadly came to help and killed him so he dropped his headgear. It's kinda the same thing what Fly & DJ does to botters, make them murderer and get their stuff o.O :roll:

I get that, but I'm not sure what nightbloom wants us to do. BH have done nothing wrong here - pif killed our guys we killed him back, yes I know it was the hacked pif but does that really matter? and ask yourself if you picked up a sos weapon in town wouldn't you keep it? I know I would if it wasnt from guild/union. Call me a bad person for that but thats how I am :wink:

and btw WHY would a hacked pif be out 1* popping ..IF I hacked an account I would clear the account and blahblach not go out popping :roll:

Nah I'm not the head of anything, I have union chat and join powers as do many others but that's it, I don't call any shots or anything. There's maybe 4 or 5 people who are unofficial leaders but I'm not one of them, I'm just a normal member. I'll always voice my opinions on an unbiased basis from how I see it myself though.

I'm not the kinda person to say the grass is purple just cuz my friends said it is. I have my own opinions and as always I'll just say exactly what I think.

Being hacked must be very traumatic, especially for someone who's capped, if it was explained that he was hacked then it should have been sensibly sorted out and worked together as a server against these trash people to get the hacked person back on their feet, if it wasn't explained then a natural reaction would be that he'd just murdered random people and as a result lost his item.

But I dunno I've never murdered anyone in the game, my first thought would be to take all my items off and buy a cheap set first before doing it, seeing someone murder another while wearing a full set of 8th gear and still continue to murder in a place like the cave should be the first sign that something is wrong, you'd have to be a bit silly to kill someone while wearing your clothes.

Headgear too sucks, it took me 8 weeks to find a green 67 garment hat and then it cost me 3.5 mil which seems to be the standard rate just for a hat, I'm sure Pif is/was a lot richer than I am, I never have anymore than 5 mil but headgear is like the holy grail of 8th degree lol

this is the first i've heard of this, and it makes me sad. Pif has his faults like we all do, but he was always nice to me in-game and on here. if he really was hacked and just randomly murdering people, and he was doing so when he was killed by the BHA and his his headgear dropped, then i think it's only fair that we try to get him his headgear back if it hasn't already been sold.

when phunky got hacked, it felt like watching my brother getting jumped in the parking lot. i never wanna feel like that again, and i have 100% sympathy for anyone who has to watch that, let alone go through it themselves on their character.

despite the fact that nightbloom decided to go about this the wrong way, i'm going to do what i can for Pif. like i said, this is the first i've heard of this, but i hope that the headgear is still in BHA hands so it can be returned.

does anyone know if Pif has his account back yet?

He does not... The PW has been changed or something like that cause Pif has zero access, he cant get online to change it, nothing. We have been trying for over 24 hours.

Going by recent hackings, it seems to be random people and what they do is they somehow know your secret question answer cuz they change your password and then they change your email address on your account which you need to know in order to reach the secret question page, making it impossible to get your account back.

People like Peebz, Wong I know for sure never botted as I'm sure Pif never has, on the official site which seems to be the source of this kinda stuff, you automatically get a forum account with your membership which means that your game details and forum detauls are on the same database, someone only has to hack that forum database which probably isn't that hard to do and they'd have access to everyones stored names and secret question answers, which would explain why these hacking are so random, nobody is really safe anymore, you just have to hope your not picked randomly I guess.

One thing that could help is on your profile your forum name is the same as your login name, if you change your name at the bottom it changes your name on the forum which would probably defend you against this kinda thing.

They really should have a forum you have to sign up for instead, this puts us all in danger.

He just changed his password, but nowadays as I said above they know your secret question answer so they just change the email making it impossible to login.

babyvegas is a 3X from MaliceArmy.

phunky got his account back because the hacker was unable to change the password, and he got d/c during his murder spree.

@ topic:

according to my guildmates, AncientPif was thieving, died, and TaxCollector and co. picked up his loot. he was very unhappy about this and murdered them. he was white at the time of the attack, he went red on them first. phunky and DeadlySin showed up and killed the now red Pif, who dropped his headgear, which is SoS+5 with a shitload of blues by the way.

Pif ran for his life when he saw phunky. any sane person who plays on Xian server would do the same. but if i had hacked someone's account and wanted to viciously mangle it by murdering a bunch of people, why would i care if someone killed me? why would i run away? wouldn't the exp loss be exactly what i was going for, or at least part of it? why would i be thieving to begin with, much less popping? doesn't add up.

i am not saying that Pif hasn't been hacked. i have NO idea where Pif's account stands at this moment. all i'm saying is that he was white when he killed my union members, and the stories about him being hacked didn't start coming out until after he dropped a 40mil+ item. i'll leave it to everyone to decide for themselves.

This is the bit you should login and change, if I remember correctly it should be set to your login word/name, just change it to anything at all, it doesn't matter what, you change it by making a character on a different server with a random name and set it to their name instead.

When you post on the forum there it shows that name and in most cases its showing peoples logins cuz they haven't changed itThat in my opinion is the start of how they are doing it.

Just make a new character on a different server and set that character name there, your login will no longer show and you'll appear to be on another server.

I was there with the crowd chasing Pif, Im sure none of us knew that pif was hacked. All we knew is that he murdered a member, so we chased him like any normal player would do. Someone murders, they pay the penalty.

There was no underlying intent to help a hacker destroy a character. Its sad he got hacked. Though it was hard to tell, he was popping, he murdered for a reason (because his loot was getting stolen), and he ran. It seemed normal.

On topic again, could it be maybe that whoever hacked his account changed the email so it was impossible to use again and then this person saw he was 70, had loads of nice items and decided to keep the account for themselves?

It's just that if I was 'given' an account that was powerful, had 50k+ sp, loads of nice items and was 70, why go out and ruin it, if he murdered someone on a job then it could be that this person is a complete noobsauce who has probably been 3x for ages and has no concept of the dangers, I just don't see why someone would murder someone while wearing these clothes unless they didn't care or they were just a moron.

I don't think you'd murder someone just cuz they'd stole a bit of your trade goods or whatever, unless it was a spare of the moment thing.
