Warlock question & skillbar

AoE Dots - worth taking all of them?
AoE debuffs - worth taking all of them?

• Lets talk about AoE Dots & Single Target Dots first.

I find myself using Single Target dots only when PvPing (cape fights), and then I use bleed + dull Dots.
I played Warlock only once in exp/item share pt, so im not that experienced.
Anyway, that one time I played, I used single dots on mobs, and I was doing disease, dull, debuffs, nukes
when something with higher HP appeared. Is this okay way to party?
(Astra, I'd like your answer on this). I noticed we gaining zerk much faster this way, so are quick single target dots the way to go?
I was using single dots at that time, since mobs died too fast and I dont think I'd have time to use AoE dots. Spawn rate wasnt best tho.

I would use AoE dots in jobbing / guild wars when shitloads of people ball up, but then I'd use only bleed & dull...

Would my skillsetup for partying / multi foes be like vampire touch to diesese everyone, and use AoE debuffs? I need someone to clear that for me, that would be nice.
The other time I'd use AoE dots is at Shaitan, I'd simply use dot on mob near him, so he gets effected.
Question here is, is that easily done? Is it worth doing it? Would dots stack?
I mean, I use single target bleed dot on Shaitan, and then AoE debuff with bleed someone near him, would those two dots stack?

So, should I delevel single target burn & poison and level up AoE version of it?

I play as Cleric ALWAYS (since we are on much higher mobs, I join those parties for bigger exp & because its safer as Cleric than Warlock
(I draw almost no aggro as Cleric, meaning I die less) and they accept me as Cleric everytime.

Its kinda messy, and I'd like your help on it... since on Lv.76 (which is near) im getting AoE sleep & AoE stun ...
dunno where to put them in? I dont have place for Illusion and I really like it...
I like setup of my Cleric skills, but lots of new skills coming... I'll have to throw out holy word,
thinking of kicking out Healing Favor & Group Healing Breath... but they look soo cool on skillbar, but I never use them unfortunately...

I like Space + 1 + 4 combo, that gives me healing cycle, but I'll replace it with Orbit so meh... (I'll max cycle anyway)...
I love group recovery on Space + 3, goes nice after offering.

Anyway, help me out guys, where to put in AoE debuffs,


If anyone could waste 5-10 minutes on answering a bit on those questions, that would be really nice.

Im not an expert on warlock so i really cant answer alot of those questions but if you dont have enough spots for all of your skills you could press S and do some of the party buffs that way it will just take more time. And i think you should take every skill from warlock becuase every skill helps (if you have the sp).

well..I skilled everything at Warlock since i got farmed at Ongs,But IMO you need every AOE Dot for partying etc and decayed and blaze as your single target Dots.I also find the Aoe Debuffs pretty senseless but it's up to you whether you skill them or not.my Taskbar looks like this(I'm too lazy to log on my warlcok now cuz i dont have prem)

For me,this is the perfect order of the skills, but imo the skill order is always a very personal thing..

Alright..I'm gonna explain u how I am playing my Char..maybe it helps you

first my Skillsbars:




(I don't know how to get rid of this Imageshack Writing..~.~)

But as i already metioned before, the Skillbar is always a personal thing..

Solo leveling
- F1 5 and 6 which are Decayed and Curse Breath are used for very fast lvling (those 2 dots are enough for me, but if you feel like adding another to the skillbar, you can do it,because if you are killing the Mobs REALLY fast, you will get some problems with the cooldowns of these skills)
-1,2 which are Blood and Death Flower are either used to finish off the mobs or for giants, Champs
-Vampire Touch and kiss are only used either to finish low hp mobs or to gain some hp when getting problems with giants.
-if you have a lvl spot with a very good spawn rate you can also use the Aoe Dots.And i again prefer Dark Decayed and Dark Breath here but you can also use Dark Blaze and Toxic Invasion.

Party Leveling

-If you are the Cleric,use F3 and F4 to Heal and Buff.those Skills can again be placed as you want, its just the best way how i did it in my opinion.
-either use your Dots to lure Mobs (which i experienced as very nice) or just stay at the wizzards and debuff and put Dots on the Mobs.This is the only situation where u could use the Aoe Debuffs.

PvP

allright now the Fun part begins
again this is only my way of pvping =)

-First activate Recovery Division and Holy Spell which can be made easily by pressing Space 1,2,3.Then stay at the Cleric rod and use Healing Orbit when the pvp starts,after this you have to press the Third Mouse button very fast and switch fo F1.then you use the Skills in this order:
-Vampire Touch
-Daze (Stun)
-Decayed,Curse Breath,BLOODY Trap (i use this one because of the lower casting time),Slumber (Sleep)
-after this you can start Debuffing With switching to F2 and using 1,2,3,.at the end you Swithc to F1 again,use Wheel Bind and start finishing him with Blood and Death Flower.

Of Course a Fight will not be as easy as this.Just keep in mind this order.Also try to reactivate Healing Orbit whenever it's finished.in this time you can also heal your self a bit or use Heaven Flash/Glare.

when fighting againstg nukers i experienced that it's very nice to skip the last part of the order and switch to cleric and use your Pure damage skills.If you hit the right Moment,your Opponent will get 9k from the Trap and again 7-8k (i dont know the exacpt numbers) from the Pure Damage skills.No Nuker will be able to survive this (especially because he also has 2 dots on him and Panic Status,which is really nice against China Chars)

Good choice, although in some cases you're gonna have to use the AoE's for mass destruction.

Use as many DoTs as you can handle, the more DPS, the faster the zerk. You need to predict the situation, example: If you have a ptg with 2-3 pt mobs, cast single dots on the ptg, and AoE's on the mobs near the ptg so you stack (my record is 6 dots, but some warlocks on Venus told me they've landed 8 ) as many you can.

Using single/AoE DoTs when soloing depends on the mob population in the area you are. Not worth wasting AoE DoTs on a single mob, exception can be made though in some scenarios when you have the singles on a cooldown.

Doesn't matter which AoE DoTs you're gonna use, but bleed and dull should be priorities, cause warlocks are perfect for large scale battles with all those DoTs creating a chaos. Just don't forget on the AoE panic, the most important AoE skill in those situations.

Okay, you are (by my skill setup logics) on the right path.
My setup is one for all scenarios (universal) cause I simply don't have enough free slots for all the skills. (I wish I had F5)
Single stun, IMO, has to sit on the middle mouse for fast reaction (ie. canceling wizard's nukes and other long casting skills like DD etc.)
F1 = attack skills in a special order starting with single and AoE diseases | trap | sleep combo ftw | here should be lined Dusk Armor | Reflect | Adv. Reflect / Scream Mask for fast intervention etc.
F2 = debuffs in a special order: impotent has to be 1st so you can prevent yourself from dying fast | division | weaken | panic | (the next ones are my personal preferences) AoE's = impotent | trap | sleep | panic | phantasma (perfect for luring)
F3 = cleric mode cause I'm focused on the warlock, and hardly enter parties who need me as cleric. Here I would only advise you to put the orbit on 1 for fast intervention. The rest is your choice.
F4 is totally randomized with some leftover skills I need like oblation, party ress, pure offering, AoE fog sight and illusion. HP/MP pots for auto pot.

Yes, they stack, BUT, wasting precious time at Shaitan to DoT his spawns isn't a good option, cause you need to reselect him in that spawn even with pressing V.
Just keep spamming AoE DoTs when his spawns appear, and when he's alone use single DoTs.

Like I said above, if you can handle all those DoTs, use them. I am fine with only single bleed and dull (my toxin is on stand by somewhere around lv60 I think and I don't use it, cause I needed SP for more important skills) and still I gain zerk so fast.
I deleveled blaze btw, and the AoE blaze is on stand by at lv2 or 4 I think, I don't use that one also.

From my personal experience as a warlock, I find the Space+numbers a perfect solution for placing the DoTs/AoE / AoE stun / weapons for switching / Bless / grains.
It's efficient and with a little practice it becomes so easy to operate.

All this is based on my personal experience throughout all this time (1year) on Venus.
Hey, I've used only one premium plus with skill ticket for farming at lv85 on this beauty, a warlock/cleric - screaming for SPs.
I managed to squeeze every bit of SP I could, to pick the most important and effective skills this build offers.
