Alchemy that "CANT" Succeed - ???? Stoned out

So this is the story.
I have a lvl 32 lunar blade +6
The crit used to be 4, I put a crit stone on it, it went down to one.
Failure 1 right there

Since then I've used over 24 (TWO DOZEN) Critical stones, and countless elements to try to get the critical up from 1
Fail Fail Fail Fail Fail Fail

Does something about this item make it harder to upgrade?

(It Did Succeed once, but went from 1 --->1 )

Ahh good to know, also I must have gotten lucky.
Sold the damned blade for 3mil....sooo happy that the crit stone adventure is behind me

i kinda have a fealing that alchemy works on blue and sox items.... i've succeeded 100% when adding int to my blue equips, but i failed about every time when i tried to add it to a normal lvl 29 armour plate
