Well, I've enjoyed this game quite a bit, especially the multiplayer aspect of it (versus and campaign). I have to say that if you bought this game for purely solo play, you're missing out. Well, I'm not certain of other opinions, but I really wish they could include more than 4 campaigns. I admit expert mode is pretty challenging, but fun. Hell, the only things I have left is the achievements involving the completion of the campaigns on expert. Btw, I've been trying to head shot this damn witch like crazy, she won't give me the "Headshot Achievement." . Any tips to get this achievement? Been using the hunting rifle. Anyways, that's my update. Hope you L4D guys enjoying your time as well. Peace.

Thanks! I shall try this. I just assumed that using the hunting rifle or rifle (carbine) gives you a more accurate shot, so logically I kept using these weapons to try and earn the achievement. Peace. - Lum

You have to be basically point-blank btw...

Also some have said you dont really aim for her head, more the neck. but i've heard both. just keep trying, sneak up on her and be fast about it. Good Luck

Bought it. Just wondering, is it supposed to come with a manual? Lol, i just got a quick reff card. This is a first for me.

Not sure, but I learned on my own during the demo.
Basic controls:
Left mouse click : Shoot/throw nades
Right mouse click: Shove
E : Pick up things/open doors/activate stuff
F : Turn on/off fllashlight
1-5/scroll up/down : Switch items
W-A-S-D : Up/Left/Down/Right movement
Space bar : Jump
CTRL : crouch
Shift : *I think is to walk
M : Switch sides ( infected/human, only avalible in versus mode )
Z,X : character voice commands
` : Console

Got it since the day it came out, or about. Game is still interesting and new things happen. Really love it. Nothing like playing with friends though, makes it a lot better.

Yeah well I have a problem. I'm dling the demo to see if it works on my comp, let's say it does work. I heard it's better for PC, if it runs smoothly on it, so I would buy L4D for PC, thing is, my PC is at my mom's, the one at my dad's is crappy, and my xbox is wherever I want, but, my mom is like OMG turn that game off, why do you enjoy killing things?!, and my dad is like, hehe his read flew away!, I think you're getting the point, so, I would buy it for xbox and play it with no worries (I have XboxLive), but with worse quality, OR, I could buy if for the PC and play it on Steam, with the best quality, and be always worried that my mom would come into the room. So I don't know, I have 90Euro to waste! Is the difference on the PC really worth it?

Might need to run xfire as admin. Most steam games need that.

why would you run xfire when playing a steam game? steam is exactly like xfire, and maybe they haven't updated for left 4 dead to show up yet.

Just beacuse your logged in as admin doesn't mean its running as admin.

I'm assuming your running Vista. Find your xfire shortcut, right click and run as admin.

If your on XP, not quite sure to suggest.

I run the 'actual' vista admin account. Theres no UAC because everything is run elevated.

There isnt meant to be a story...as in its about trying to get out alive, not
caring about where they (infected) came from, whats going on or whats going to happen
next.

I guess its done like this to make it seem more realistic, as in your acting out
what you would do.
