Here's a picture I took of the game the day after it came out. Dungeons and stuff like that aren't end-game in RoM, it's a huge part of the game - even at level 20.






Alright, so as many of you know, the Krynn server is small and everyone knows everyone. The guild situation right now is two strong guilds: Tempest, a pvping guild known for being really hardcore in other games like Rohan; and Oblivion, pretty much all the other high level 20s and low 30s on the server. There's a third upcoming guild, immortal, that has some strong players and their core group is catching up to Oblivion and Tempest. Then you have a bunch of nubtart guilds, like ****, Reborn, Revolution, Rule34.

Tempest has been exploiting in game mechanics to get themselves a huge supply of exp potions, and exploited the PvP system to give themselves damage and health buffs. With their leveling advantages they've been killing people in the mid 20 zones to the point where no one is really able to level up. The past couple days, their exploits were brought to the attention of GMs who are getting ready to punish them. Because of that, Tempest has gone on a complete "kill everything that moves" spree in the high 20 and 30 zones. Immortal stayed out of the fight but sided with us, Revolution sent their leader and one of their priests to help out my guild (Oblivion) in doing some head hunting.

We gathered everyone in Aslan and got ready to head hunt Tempest members in Ystra.



We were hugely successful in killing their top players. Two of the prouder moments, is when we downed Natalie, the highest leveled mage in the game. She can 1 shot anyone in the mid 30s or lower, and has so much minus rep that the symbol next to her name turned red. I used my mage CD and for the killing blow on her. Another one too is that they have unlimited exp potions from abusing the pvp drop system, they stack them on a char and power level them all night long. One of our members killed one of the people getting power leveled (who was AFK for the whole night) and it really pissed off Beowulf, a level 34 mage. He came at us atleast 8 or 9 times, and got rolled.



After making most of their players log off, and clear Ystra and Aslan of Tempest members, some of us set off to my house...



...where I insulted Crisi.



We ended up visiting eachother's houses and Crisi, in seek of revenge, built a jail around me and got me stuck in her house for atleast 40 minutes as my guildies watched me like a Lion in a cage...laughing.

Nicely done dom. I heard some talk about that but had no clue what was going on. Im still soloing a lot so havnt talked to many. Nice house btw


Also...whats the best way to lvl on this. I seem to be going so slow for some reason, only lvl 17/12. If anyone has some tips on whats the best method, would be appreciated. Also think i might be poor for my level, only have about 80k...any insight on that?

A heads up to dom, tempest was the biggest botting guild in rohan.

So, I've been playing for 2 days now. I am ejoying this game to the max, I really love it.
Warrior 12, knight 9.
Now, first thing to say is that I regret choosing knight before having done any research into it.

The knight fails in a million ways. You run OOM after around 1 and a half mobs, and to regen it through skills is just WAY too slow.

The warrior regains rage too slow, but however that might be fixed later on.

After extensively reading the forums all over, I decided to reroll now that I'm still low level and go warrior/rogue for dual wielding, attack speed, and extra rage regeneration. This is like 300% better then warrior/knight.

I've also decided that I'm going to keep my main professions (wood/carp) with my character, level-wise. But I have a question about that, though. Can you sell the furniture you craft with Carpenting on the AH?

In many games, armor/weaponcrafting professions don't pay off because you will barely ever be able to make stuff that is GOOD for you. You often get better stuff from questing/lvling etc. Therefore I think I'm gonna get herb/alch if you can't sell your crafted beds and whatnot on the AH!

Can probably batter through the content within half a day to get back where I was anyway

It's way to big and I can't find my npcs for the 1 zillions quests I have.

Got the thing working last night, finally. So I had a good couple hours in of playing time and ended up making a Rogue/Knight as my final choice. It's 15/14 atm on Krynn server and my name is Hostage, whisper me or something.

you can teleport all over the city. I forget the npc name but if you check on the map the symbol is yellow and loads of them scattered around the city

Grinding alone takes awhile but u got like a shitload of quests so lvling isnt an issue. Lvling your secondary class however gets annoying.

It means computer = phail. I had that so I use my sister's computer to play Runes of Magic. You need a upgrade for your computer.

I have a pretty old computer. Geforce 5200 256 MB, 2.53 GHZ, 1.25GB ram... and it lags too much for me to enjoy it.

I tried overclocking my video card, but that didnt help much.
