wow can be very fun..
But most the community is selfcentered. selfish..

if you get into the right group of people you will have fun.

wow is all about endgame, you play same instances over and over..
because a few people never get their stuff right and you fail to kill some quite simple bosses.

coordinating 40 people isnt the worlds easiest thing to do.
ofcourse, not all bosses are simple, atleast not at first.

First off Joymax is a business first and foremost. They have a different business strategy of earning funds than the traditional p2p. Attract a wide audience since the game is "free", everyone loves free stuff. Then let them pay for special services to improve game play in the eyes of the player. This lets them earn more from the dedicated players who are welling to shell out large amounts of dough all at once(at one time you could buy $1000 in silk per month). This allows them to earn enough money to cover up for the people who don't pay, but add to the population of the servers. Which in turn makes a bigger coummunity which is good cause a mmo is not a mmo with out the massive. As a business strategy this makes great sense when your competing with the likes of w.o.w and other giants like eq2. Just my thoughts...sorry so long.

i like the idea of lvl's for astral.

wish they would have done the same thing with weapon elixers back when they built the game. paying 250k each is fine for lvl 60-70's but what if you wanted to pimp out a 20 or 30 char. anyway i digress

So you wan to take Paypal and Item Mall away from people like me because of the asshats. PISS OFF!! I don't CCF. I don't scam people or the game. I play by the rules and as long as I do I expect to be able to continue to use Paypal for the Item Mall.

I use mall items to maximize inventory space and reduce the amounts of trips to town. Daily GT's on 2 characters, pot stacks, 10000 arrow quivers, repair hammers, and res scrolls. These make the game MUCH more enjoyable for me. So, I spend my $$$ on the Item Mall. It is my 1 major recreational expence right now. If you don't have $$$ for Item mall than I'm sorry - Get A Job. To be quite honest I don't know if I would stick with this without the Mall.

I'm also one of those annoying guys with a squirrel that WILL loot you if you don't pick up your stuff. I love people that leave their alchemy stuff on the ground. I EASILY get twice the amount of elements than I would if it was just my kills being broken down.

Personally I think Astral is a waste on anything lower than 6th degree. The amount of gold to go from +4 to +5 isn't worth the real world $$ until then.

I am sorry, but I don't agree that Astral should be removed. I think more safeguards should be put into place against CCF. The level limit idea has the support of all the SAs, but nobody seems to be listening.

Also, two of my union mates have made 64 weapons +7 purely by being lucky. Kurogami bought astral once for his glaive and wound up not even having to use it, he didn't fail from +5 to +7. It is the loverliest glavie ever. Splat2 has a +7 pike with 60% magic attack and I sometimes feel an urge to stab him and take it for myself. Criterion, although not in my union, managed to make a +7 pike without CCF. BUT despite everyone's cries of doom and gloom, a few extra plusses on your gear does not make you invincible! SRO is massively multiplayer, not 1v1, and most cheaters cheat because they lack skill - they can be beaten by legit players who are patient and work together.

You didn't read the full post. Nobody receives any money from CCFing.

and of course it would work. the only reason you would need item mall items at level 1-20 is if you're using the account to upgrade items 5x+. Otherwise, it's completely unnecessary. I'm sure they barely get any sales from players 1-20.

I'm not exactly sure how they haven't noticed, but everybody is pissed at Joymax for putting so little effort into enforcing the rules. They're losing players by the second. Soon all they'll have is botters and CCFers.

And sorry Bake, all the +7 claims don't phase me much. Knowing that people like penquinz used 8 astrals and have a +4 weapon still, I don't see anyone as legit more.

This is off topic of the astrals. But I think they should make the game a one time fee like Guild Wars. Maybe $20-$50 by selling it in store or a place like Amazon. I have 4 + 7 weapons 64 glaive 32 sun glaive 16 sun bow and a lvl 8 sun spear. I have the silk history and bank reciepts to prove it. lol ya i'm a fool and i spent over $200 total but oh well i'm an adult and that's only 1 day's worth of wages. I'm not the only one like that out there either. I'd guess that about 50% of the +7 are from legit players I know of atleast 5 people on xian that have put more than $1000 of their real money into this game. I always had the most trouble going from +4-+5 I've never failed going from 6 to 7. Anyway you wanna solve the credit card fraud problem. Don't make any item mall stuff tradeable period. If you throw on astrals and immortals that weapon/item becomes customized to you and cannot be traded dropped or stalled only npc'd. Similar to guild wars where you gain a 20% damage bonus from customizing your weapon but it's worthless to anyone else. Problem solved and those that are willing to spend the money for our elite gear can still have it and can still support joymax.

JoyMax is novice at their game design. Had JoyMax thought of these situations, they could have delivered a mechenism to prevent it, such as only high level player can purchase astrals.

Joymax is getting more money oriented yet they're not providing good customer services. They must be really understaffed because their bot patrolling is a joke. No evidences need here. They could easily do something about it like hire more GMs. And where were they when people cry for help on hacked accounts? Meanwhile, they rolled out more products that you must buy from the Item Mall.

Concernting cheaters: cheaters are cheaters. They always have a big advantage. So you can beat them if you team up, 1on1 they owned you. The gears determine the battle, while the skills of the players makes little differences. They're like steroid in sports. We shouldn't have to put up with them as the game players. They are JoyMax's responsibility.

If you don't like astrals don't use them in the end it's still a gamble. I watched a kid make a +9 blade lvl 60 first try he had 1 astral 1 immortal and never bothered with a steady. I blew 8 astrals getting to +5. The fact of the matter is it's a gamble the poster of this thread is mad because he and his friends have terrible luck. Oh well that sucks some people find sos some don't some make +7's without astrals some can't hit +5 with astrals get used to it. Ya I despise ccf'ers I'm pissed at the amount of money and time that went into my +7's that they didn't have to deal with but oh well. +7 has become the new +5 and +5 is now the average joes +3 astral or not ccf or not that is the way of the world. no thay cant , exp scrolls cant be traded or droped
so you cant use a noob acc to ccf exp scrolls
if you use your own say lvl 6X acc it will get banned after you chargeback
