Today, i was in an alchemizing mood.
Asked some guy i know how he always makes his +5's +7's and the +9 he just made.
basicly everyone tells me to Fail other gear in between.
So i decide to try +5 on both off my rings, i fail both ^^
90 elixers later, i never got them back to +4... (While failing other stuff in between when going from +3 to +4 >.<)

cant believe how unlucky these things are, when i pimped them first time they both went +4 in 1 try.
any suggestions xD?

I can't get +4 without lucky stones so I don't think you are doing that bad

1st: when you are doing alchemy, set a standard in how many elixirs you are willing to use before calling it a day. (unless you have a lot of gold that spending ~20mil in a ring ect. is nothing)
I use 20-30 elixirs max in one thing,,if it fails try another day or in different town. if it continues to fail, find a blank one and try to + it.....I always + any item before adding blues,,,if it can't get to +5 I don't add blues.
I remember using 37 acc. elixirs trying to +5 a ring in dw..fail +3 most of the times and +4 like once...teleported to hotan to buy more lucky's, decided to try + it in hotan 2x...+4 in 1st try and +6 the 2nd try. (had 5immo).

My suggestion is ALWAYS try to + before adding blues, so if it doesn't + to ~+5 in several tries (~30)...just stall it, NPC it..and try different one.

idk i seriously think its all just luck...no fail this fail that....cause i couldnt even get my shield to +5 with prem and ...with out prem i have made...in the last 4 months.... 2 +7 spears 9D... 2 +7 swords 9D.. a +9 shield 9D +7 lvl 32 sword 2 +7 lvl 72 shields and numerous +6's and 5's its all luck based

I usually fail 3-4-5 times and then try ++. This works for me, its not 100% but I think it helps. Since my friend made his set +7 this way, altough he destroyed many many items

Get the item to +4 or +6 then add lucky to the item. Then fail 4 or 5 times in a row on a different item. Then try + the +4 or +6 item you have.

Well dont buy elixirs, just use your own that you pick up...save up for a few weeks then go on a + spree! besides they cost too much...wep elixir like 500k wtf

I always leave my stalls up with NO stall network and 250k weapon elixers.

Those who don't whore around the stall network get lucky and leave me messages / offers on the gear I sell.

but I guess prices will continue to drop as time goes on...and I'm not as active like I use too.

I do what Rag said. Don't add blues and if it doesn't even make +5 with a stack of elixirs I usually break them up.

I stalled my 85+7 xbow few weeks ago for 650mil also, thinking no one would buy it.
Next day woke up and it was gone... Had to use +3 for a while

I also want to make a +7 atleast once, so im stacking weapons atm xD
what i really noticed, is that all 3 weps i have untill now went +4 first try, all failed +5, and never went back to +4 again after.
seems like it gets harder to plus if you just tried a lot

Heh happened to me b4 as well. Went out with friends so I stalled my 85+7 full blues crit 12 glaive for 800mil thinking no one would buy it. Came home and the thing was gone LOOL. Too bad I didnt know who was the retard that bought it since I stalled only the glaive and stall shop closed automatically after the glaive was sold

Failing doesnt really seem to work....
I had 5 rings at +1, and 5 weps at +3.
failed 5 rings in a row, tried first wep, failed, second > failed> third> failed> 4th failed > 5th failed ... meh
10 fails in a row >.>

EDIT: okay, 2 out of 5 weps are +5 now, took a while but well
when i got 4 weps or more ill probs try going for +7

Don't even bother failing items for +3-+5. Only going for +6 and higher do I ever fail other items (I fail 2 items). It may be luck based anyways but it's my routine . Have made about 30 9d +7's so far.
