Navy has good benefit, but you have to be at sea alot and away.

Airforce is for pussies, that's their reputation supposedly

actually no. as iv heard airforce/army/military gets alot more pay then the navy but navy gets semi better benefits. but my uncle ( who was in the army for 15+ years ) may be wrong.

I was in the Air Force for 6 years and I will tell you that if you get into the right career field you will not be away from home much at all. If you decide to work in the maintenance field be prepared to be shit on plain and simple. Thats what I did and I hated every minute of it. Get into Intel or CE (Civil Engineering) or something like that and I think you would be happy.

One of my friends is in the air force now. Currently in South Korea now doing tech training and is the technician for a few bases, the net and everything. Spends a lot of time playing games it seems but hes making under minimum wage. My cousin just got out from the National Guard, from training...not much info on that. But be sure you can pass the physical training, either branch...its not east to do.

My guess as to the reason the people in the "AirForce" are "pussies" is because the job actually requires you to be intelligent and possibly the people who are only in the Army/Navy are jealous.

Besides, there's plenty more to do in the AirForce than fly jets

As far as Australian Army is concerned, it runs great programs such as the Gap Year for those who've recently finished school (I'll be doing it next year). Which pays (In your first year out of school) $30,000 or more, depending on what you've done. You also get a $10,000 bonus at the end of that year if you sign up for "X" amount of years after that. The Healthcare benefits, Pensioner Benefits are also great if you've been in the Australian Army for a certain amount of time.

My guess is that Gaige is American and I've got no idea how the US Army works, All I know is it has plenty of funding

Personally, I would join the Coast Guard, you would be able to stay within the United States, save lives, and your family would not be put under durress because you wouldn't be stationed outside the United States. If you want to fly, you could fly a rescue helicopter.

I would become a Hitman or an Assassin. But if I couldn't get either of those, I would become a race car driver, since it uses the same skills as a sniper does.

Well you tell me, would you trust someone to do tactical procedures if he couldn't see that well without the aid of contacts/glasses? I don't think a sniper wakes up each day, puts in contacts before he goes back to camping his target.
