Skill Tree project
Hi every1,
was wondering is there anyone doing a skilltree distribution tool for silkroad?
if not, if any1 has a site that contains info or in document form i can make one and host it somewhere.
Is basically a tool for you to calculate and forcast distribution of SP to ur skill.

The joymax skilltree
The joymax skilltree is good to have(i already have that)...
Unfortunately, that is not enuf, this is because you do not know exact numbers of sp needed to invest in certain skill before reaching max.
Let's take an example,
Wolf's bite lvl 1 .. lvl 9... total sp needed = x amount.
Frost River lvl 1 .. lvl 9 ... total sp needed = y amount.
Total sp for both = x+y amount.
This tool will be very useful for sp farming activity especially those that planning to start early.
I think i prolly need to do it myself when the server starts but its hard to pump every sp to the skill just to see the feedback. If i can get my hands on a sp chart for each skill from 1- 9 at least that will be helpful.
Cheeers!

it's not completely accurate as far as I'm aware.
now combine that with the above skill tree list, which skills you want, to their max level (they level every 2 masteries) and slap it all together = farming target.
of course, you oculd play the game for fun and get these skills as you go along, like Me and Moogie have, and quite frankly, we still kick arse, maybe harder then farmers

Thanks that all i need
Thanks guys for posting i think that's all i need
This shortens my fact-finding time. Don't worry about the long list...by the time i'm finish it will be a nice skill table just like the one in the game to emulate the sp usage. Now, taking a few days off for chinese new year. I will post more when i have a major update.

First Release Skill Tree (only skill mastery is working)
Hi guys due to the last few info replied, i have generated a list of sp needed for Skill mastery for each weapon only
skill tree ver 0.1 is located here.
However, my progress is stuck when i try to do each individual skill as I do not know the exact level requirement needed for each skill.
I know roughly they level every 2 levels but, it's hard to predict without much facts...see this document to know what Im talking about.
I now, share this document for u guys to see. there's sure be errors here and there, becoz it is based on certain observation values and some assumption ones. I will appreciate every help that i can get. hopefully i can generate a skilltree as accurate as possible.
My email is icy_wolfy@yahoo.com. for those interested in helping me.

thnxs ziggy
thanxs ziggy,
this wont be able to support level down yet, coz i was planning to concerntrate on skill leveling starting from skill #1. then slowly branch out to remaining skills.
Bug fixed 0.22
1. Added reset all button.
2. Place a cap on lvl 60 for now. I know they r raising the cap soon but 60 will do for now.
3. Added first 4 non-functioning icons for weapons first. getting info on sp from else where.
Current WIP
Im trying to simulate the requirements and list of sp needed for all skill #1.
If anybody can help me in sp / lvl requirement for any first skill #1 list that will help alot.
until then, cheers!

right now i take watever help i can get.
some ppl in troy started sending me infos.
but, im changing strategy to handle some problems i encounter
1. Concerntrate on 4 force skill first
2. Document into excel file and share to community
3. Get info only common force skill only...(problem about this is some skill are too uncommon to be invested even by the newbies, like heuksal's spinning spear up to level 12 max
, the immovable sheild skill of sword, and etc)
4. Document first release will document 1-35 level progress and helps u calculate total sp needed for mastery as well as sub skills.
Note : It will be helpful those seasoned players those reaching 60's that invested on the third book skills...third book skills is hard to estimate the max level, some max at lvl 3, most of them by 9 etc
Let's take for an example,
My char reached 2nd book of ice river
I assume my 2nd book max level is 9 coz the requirement for the last book is 9 as well. But, what im not sure is the third book also level 9? that, im not sure...anyway, i will still document and see.

good work on the spreadsheet..
I was wondering if there was anywhere that actually showed a skill tree..
You know ,
something that shows, which skill follows which skill?
Also for those noobies out there like me
I just found out that the skill screen doesn't show all the skills, you need to use the scroll bars !!!! I know , im a nuffy

0.4 is almost done, a facinating discovery
0.4 is almost done...just need some touch up here and there and have my typos and sp errors reduce to almost 0.
Some facinating discoveries after computing total SP needed to learn skill.
Conclusion of project
Total SP needed to Learn All...(including those not commonly used skills)
1. Heuksal Skill ~ 75,425 SP needed
2. Bicheon Skill ~ 100,046 SP needed
3. Pacheon Skill ~ 62,682 SP needed
Why Bicheon need so many, because of the chain combo variant which branches out to 4 combo (more dmg) and 5 combo (lesser dmg).
Why Pacheon is lesser because, they arent much variant of bow skill required to learn all of them.
Note :- Some may thought of SP farming till it reaches 30k cap. For me I dont really think so, unless u have plenty of time to spend or this is already your 2nd character. All you need is initially farm around 1.5k ~ 3k (maybe even more) and save it. I call this Buffer SP. Continue to add more around 400 ~ 600 (higher the level SP goes higher)SP above...
Depending on how many skill u plan to add or master, e.g. currently at a lightning/ice spearman at lvl 25 (refer to my excel chart)
That means u need to pump your spear, ligtning and ice mastery 1 level higher and then pump 3 skills that eligible to learn.
You can actually foresee the next level how many SP u need to harvest and whether or not u wanna make use of ur Buffer SP to speed things up.
Spend the extra SP wisely. Keep mastery level low around 3-4 different. Once spend, repeat cycle again and again as u level.
Continue to SP farm as your character progress, use these extra points to pump ur skills...this will stop until lvl X (a level which u feel ur strong enuf for everything). Then, decide wheter to spend ur Buffer SP or not. Your call.
For those having problem opening excel file, there's a free Office like software called www.openoffice.org; U can try download and use it. I'm using them too in my laptop.
What Do I think about Pure Build vs Hybrid?
1. Pure Int good for items hunters, pve based characters, work well in team PVP, ...suitable for those who enjoy fast Pve (always get ur giants even tho u get KS) and working as a team players. Can be non-weapon dependant at first few level...u can even SP farm without using ur prime weapon all u need is a strong imbue spell. E.g. Raid Super Mob together with guildies is fun having Pure Int around.
The first hit PVP strategy is your upmost priority as it will determine whether u live for the next battle or not. First hit simply means, u get to hit them first...learn skill that will help u obtain first hit to survive.
Very cost effective for First character. It helps support your 2nd character (kill fast e.g. get SOS deposit warehouse for future character) and so on...
2. Pure Str build good for PVP and tanking activities. Very useful in raid tanking/guild war tanking. Cost effective in potting hp. Need to reserve on force skill efficiency. Tough to build at first, but enjoy later as ur level progress. Weapon dependant most of the time becoz rely on weapon skill to deal damage.
Suitable for seasoned PVP lovers or 2nd character.
3. Hybrid build (1:2 and 2:1) ~ These build are multi-purpose, suitable for first character as well as u get to try and learn skill and can afford to make mistakes here and there.
This build however, is more gear and SP dependant which means u need to best of SP (all skill must be optimum to get the best dmg) and gear to buff up ur challenge as level progresses extra stats item will be ur fav. Those that have hybrid best to SP farm early stage of the game u gonna need all the skills u gonna get.
Very tactical in using them support/defender class character because, u live longer than ur Pure Int guildies and have more MP compared to ur Pure Str guildies.
Conclusion?
Pure str frontline, hybrid defense mid-fielder, Pure int range nuker.
You may lose ur battles...but u must win the WAR!
Drumrolls...0.4 is coming

good god... ur excel skill tree project is like.. wow.. thanks... way to take one for the whole silkroad players...
but... im so noob [sry..startd playing 4 days ago] i KNOW ur skill tree is good.. but i REALLY dont get how some ppl say to farm for like 3k sp and thats good for like 1 pacheon and 2 extra force skills, ice and lightning..
since the excel shows like 8.5k for JUST anti-devil ... its unclear for me how people say 3k is good for a couple of skill trees at three diferent forces when yet alone ONE skill tree for ONE force [pacheon] is 8.5k
i already psoted this in my other post... tryign to see if ppl reply faster here

Because that 8.5k is the total for when you're level 80 (or whatever the max is), you won't need nearly that much farmed, at say level 25. The rest of that 8.5k can be gained at a normal rate as you level up without problems.
The initial boost of skills from SP farming will make the rest of the character's life a whole lot easier.
The initial boost of skills from SP farming will make the rest of the character's life a whole lot easier.
just wait for 0.4 almost there alr
phrenic just wait for 0.4 almost there alr...then u can calculate the total lump sum of all the skill u planning u master...(wait till u calculate the amount of SP needed for Forces it almost insane)
then u will eventually realize it takes forever to harvest that much of skill which is not fair for a beginner character (trying to feel the content, and travel the world...know how some quests is done or best mob to kill).
That is why ppl limit a themselves from going on and on...they use buffer up some SP so that, they have a decent flow of skills (especially those with 3 mastery) to enjoy around lvl 30-40...(I call it the Golden Age)
Second to this is...This is already their 2nd or 3rd build of character not the first one. That means they have already experienced the gameplay alr.
The climax of the character will being at 30-32-35-38-40...this is where u get to enjoy nukes, lvl 30/31 strongest weapon skills. Just make sure u got enuf SP for skills around these few level. pick wisely tho.
Thirdly. U really dun wanna miss out the game becoz, u lack of SP to pump the skills evenly.
e.g.
At lvl 30, u need 144 for nuke and 144 for passive multiply that with N amount of skill to master. If u do not have enuf SP to invest on nuke or other goodies, u will feel like an anti-climax thingy.
Anyway, u still can harvest sp at certain high level as well...its just cheaper/easier in early stage.
Conclusion, plan ur SP harvest to the "golden age", then enjoy the game lol

SRO Skill Tree 0.4 Update
SRO Skill Tree 0.4 Update!
- All Weapons Skills SP calculation completed
- All Force Skill SP calculation completed (is was a shocking discovery to find out why Force Power Mastery has till 138 lvl ! to master all of it) which only possible explaination is max lvl cap is 150 lvl, and 150 for 2 masteries??? I really cant say much about this.
- Only thing left is the calculation of Skill Mastery SP confirmation which will take quite some time... but 0.4 is a good reference for all skill computation. right now, i will concerntrate on SP computational figure. There still more to come tho.
