Hey. I'm going to start playing Silkroad again, but I need I decent server to play on. I've logged on a few of them and it still seems that a large population of players don't speak English. What server do most of you play on? Which has a fairly good English speaking community? I've noticed alot of people play on Venus, so as of now I'm leaning towards that.
I think I'm gonna shoot for a 1:4 s/s, light as my main force tree, and I'm still debating over fire/cold, but I'm leaning toward cold for the snow shield.

If you want to solo to Capp, go right ahead to Venus. they don't let chinese chars in parties. If you are legit as you say, well then you will probably have to farm solo as well. If you want to party play and lvl quik with everyone else, Go euro. If you want to solo, Go Chin.

My main concern is pvp. I've researched the game enough to know that hybrids can fare just as good as any pure in pvp, and I happen to enjoy some survivabiliy and I don't like getting 1-shotted from a full str glavier/bower crit. I'll have enough int that I can still make use of snow shield, I will have block, and more hp than a pure int. How am I wrong?

going 1:4 as a sword and shield will drastically reduce your damage. Yes, you will have plenty of HP and be able to tank alot, but you will also not do much damage. A pure int Sword and Shield would beat you every time, and you wouldnt be able to kill other INT's easily.

For sword and shield, you should consider 1:7, or Pure int in Garment, with maxed Ice. That way, you will have insane damage with sword statuses (at 73) and also be able to tank alot for 2 minutes, then have the added 1000+ phy defence for another 15 seconds. Plus, take into account Knockdown, and Pure INT is a very survivable build. Furthermore, with Garment and Pure int, you will be a tough challange for other INT users, and you will walk all over those in Armor.

Just consider that before going any further. 1:4 isnt a good sword and shield build. 1:7 and Pure are.

You will survive more but damage will be less. Euro will eat you. Bowers and glaviers will have a bit less atack then you, but will hae more tanking ability and they will mostly kill you.

Idk maybe his crits with stabs will be really good... and with that added bicheon skill which lowers defense for Phys attack power...maybe that will be better...if you went 1:4 though i would do Blade and i would get fire/90/bicheon/90/Force/90/light 30...and then once your up there higher and you have more money you can delvl light to 0 and get cold 30 for snow ...but idk.. you might wanna just stick to something more like 1:7 for hybrid int or pure int or something...im a wierd hybrid on xKingpinx but i seem to do pretty good dmg and tank a shitload of dmg... i once had the whole other team in CTF chasing me down cause they couldnt kill me (lvl 85-90s)

I didn't realize (according to the people here) that I would take such a massive drop in damage because of 10-15% less magical balance? I could make up that with alchemy, and in contrast my physical balance would be higher. So I still don't see the problem. But whatever...

They wont be that weak, but compared to Pure int sword, 1:7 sword they will be weak. 1:5 Spear will have stronger nukes than you too...

If your coming to Venus, i'd suggest trying out Euro at least once. If its not for you thats fine as well, Chinese are welcome too.

+1 But be legit. And avoid plvl unless you're farming, you'll see str bladers need skills to be played (don't quote this saying the old "everything is about gear" thing... it's true when the gear is equal).

I find it funny how everyone on Venus actually beleives there server is rather legit.

Come of it. It's no different than any other server. The only thing that makes people beleive different is the fact the well known guilds/unions are more legit than on other servers. This send a message out that Venus is against botting etc.

If you beleive people turn to Venus for legitness and stay in Venus legitaly for long... then your mistaken.

go into Venus now and look around. Do you really see a server full of "IM AGAINST BOTTING" Enthusiasts.
