Have you ever buffed one of the botters in your guild? Ever gone to help him in pvp/jobbing/wars or w/e? Ever bought them stuff? That's all supporting bots, wouldn't you agree? So, instead of discouraging botting by only helping out legits, and forcing them to choose between legit w/ support or bots w/o support, you just make it fun to bot. That's what keeps botters actively botting, because at the end of the day, they are treated as a friend, respected for being a high level, or w/e. Stop doing that, and suddenly it becomes taboo to bot. That's what the Confederation has done.

To be friends with someone because he bots in simply looking past the idea of bot and legit. Letting yourself not be judged or others be judged by that makes life so much easier. You don't end up complaining all day long about some guy who bots. Personally bots have never affected me because I don't care what others do. Thats the biggest problem I see with this community, they like to be in other peoples business.
Hasn't anyone ever told you to stay out of it? None of your business?
I see it as another human being to be friends with. Not to shun them from society. I will avoid talking to them only if they have a bad attitude, other wise I could care less what they do. I'm keep my way and let them keep their way. My job isn't to convert people or hate them like religion does.
