Pulling out a shield while knocked down.

Makes absolute sense to use one, I'm not going to sit there with bleed and division on and take 4 stabs. A Shield is needed, if it wasn't It'd be equipable for only shield users.

In real life, you can use your shield to block the attack when you fall. So there is no reason you can't. Blader has bleed+impotent+divion+fear+dull+... it's very fair

In real life their is no PURE INT nukers with a +10 sun sword. In real life their is no wizards that can teleport or go invisible.

I think that is a good idea, since Bicheon mastery focus's on the use of 1h weapons AND shields, how ever they would need to increase the chances of KB on Heuksal's ghost spear then to even it out imo.

of course its a tactic. but it pretty much weakens KD to the point where it cant even compare to the comprable skills of stun and kb that other builds have. so it devaluates any build that consistantly uses a shield.

Knockdown from a blader has a higher success rate compared to a stun execution from a glaivier. While you are upset a knockdowned character is blocking some of your stabs (shield switch), you are actively blocking all of their attacks with your ever equipped shield. Just for kicks, as a blader you could try pvping without a shield.

i wasnt aware of the difference in probability between KD and stun and such. never mind its a fair tactic apparently. you convinced me.

The fact you can switch to a shield in any situation should not be considered as "unfair", but the skills that need a shield or weapon should get fixed so they disappear when someone removes his shield/weapon.

I have to disagree. When I played my blader on Troy, 90% of the population was not ice resistant. Ice + combos = death. No need for kd's, they have a chance for huge damage with crits, but ultimately combos are cooler. xP

what about warrior/cleric, they can have bless spel plus their own spells for 45 second, at lvl70 or so, they get a total of 2000+ phy and mag defense (dunno about 90)... yeah thats fair...
there are A LOT of things on sro which arent fair, but i hope all classes will be in harmony once we've got 150 cap with 150 skills (after 10 years^^)

so dont complain about the stupid shield thing, you can keep KDing an opponent forever and all they can do is pulling out a shield^^

Its fair because u have passives that make having a shield out more efficient. U can also attack while having a shield out.

Maybe ur not a pure int s/s but when u are. U also have an advantage in heaving a spear to switch to. Debaf ur target with chains then switch to spear and do a nuke for massive dmg.

There could be a cooldown timer on wepon/shield swapping like 30 seconds or something. would make killing those 2 handed wepons str builds soooo easy to kill lol.

As for fairness I always pvp as fair as possible, if a euro uses vigors..damm farking right my chinese uses vigors to. Not my problem there auto pot timer sucks.

I dont see anything wrong with switching to shield when knocked down, or when the enemy is about to do a very high hitting attack (ie dare devil). would u rather sit there hoping u wont die or do something and try to block/get hit lesser? >.>
