Pulling out a shield while knocked down.

As a blader I think it is a completly unfair for somone to be able to pull out a shield while knocked down. Its realy unfair to the bicheon class. I dont have problem with dual weaponing or anything else for that matter I just personaly think its unfair. I mean what can a blader / swordsman do to compensate when he gets Knocked back or Stunned to even out this imballance? nothing. yeah so its unfair. If your a true legit player you wont use this unfair tactic.

Uhm... Since when it is unfair? This is the first time I`ve heard pulling out a shield when your knocked down is unfair.. Whats unfair with that? I used it since 80 cap, and I didnt hear a word about it being unfair.. >.>

of course its a tactic. but it pretty much weakens KD to the point where it cant even compare to the comprable skills of stun and kb that other builds have. so it devaluates any build that consistantly uses a shield.

no because they use a shield consistantly as part of thier build. no reason they would have to put away gear that your previously using.

hmm.. i don't think its unfair at all due to the fact that Euro's are OP as hell with their crits and such. So with that being said, pulling is shield is called survivability.. Having a shield while you are down keeps you alive maybe for that extra little bit to help you win that pvp or whatnot.

Why shouldn't you be able to use all the gear that is available to you? Another question, would you find it unfair for a 2h warrior to pull out a shield during a fight? o.O I mean, the shield is a consistent part of their build, right?

Knockdown from a blader has a higher success rate compared to a stun execution from a glaivier. While you are upset a knockdowned character is blocking some of your stabs (shield switch), you are actively blocking all of their attacks with your ever equipped shield. Just for kicks, as a blader you could try pvping without a shield.

All I have to say is:

If the game allows it, it's NOT unfair.

If that was unfair then snow shield would be unfair because you cant remove it from other people, having holy word would be unfair because a warlock wouldn't like that and so on.

What I think that should be fixed (and I heard it will be fixed) is casting fire shield (the thing that makes you imune) and the buf stays on after the shield is removed but still... if the game allows it and everyone can use it I supose it's fair.

I think being unfair is when only some (not some builds, i mean some people) can do certain things, by that I mean abusing bugs of the game.

1-u have Blocking Rate increasing passives.. in other words, "ur shield is better than thiers"
2-some buffs are lost in some classes when u switch to shield (eg:warrior's warcry)
3-u have shields on all the time while they cant.
4-dont complain about thier stuns.. they dont have kds like u.
5-i actually loled at the "if u are legit" part..

Um... Bladers are neat, I have one on Troy. I know for a fact though, that they are weak compared to a Warlock who knows what he is doing. xP In fact, any str class is weak against a Warlock that knows what he is doing.

In real life their is no PURE INT nukers with a +10 sun sword. In real life their is no wizards that can teleport or go invisible.

riiiight. cuz u know, when your being knocked on ur ass, instead of getting up, the 1st thing u think about is opening your pack and taking out your shield, then blocking an attack.
