Question about Venus

The gaol of this topic was to separate fact from fiction. We all know when the word Venus is mentioned in GD the topic instantly turns into a "I hate Venus because of some rumors I heard/QQ." The goal here is to end that with this topic. Education of the willing.

Actually, whenever a topic is posted about players in search of a new server, the topic gets flamed with the "OMG JOIN 'VENUS' OR DIE" attitude; moreover, typing up an essay on why the server is so great. This may blow the chances for other semi-legit servers. Normally the non-Venus players will respond, and just tell em to shut the ƒuck up.

I have seen those topics and it's rarely a Venus player that starts it. Usually the post is "InB4Venus" from a non-Venus player followed by liable and flames. Then the Venus player comes and another non-Venus player goes; "Here comes the Avalon Crew." Boom, insta-flame topic.

Well that happened because people would start topics such as:
"Looking for a fun server"
Comment: Join Venus
Followed by many +1s.
After all that it was just too common of an answer that people who weren't knew here knew the comments that followed.

Why not just stop talking about it then, would be a lot easier on everyone.
This legit/non legit sht is just stupid.
Could bring up rules from jm tos that is broken by most ppl.
Forum with admin/mods... braking their own forum rules.
And could bring up laws that is broken by the forum and players straight.

Fact is though even in spite that some of those opposed to what is set up on venus while getting unimportant things wrong like fly and NB being dictators of the confed. they make some good points that all of you have seen fit to ignore with either "ZOMG fly and NB are not the leaders" or "no one is forcing you to join. Both of which are bogus responses. You all are every bit the problem in the discussion as the others. And it is shit like that that makes people go yeah right when you go on about how the confed is a democracy. But I digress.

Hate Fly and NB much? lol..and I mean lol. Never had had any direct dealings with them and never plan to...but, props to them for making the server for what it is and give us enough respect for saying that, "the game is what it is right now", in consideration of, and because of, Venus...

Quite honestly I am not sure exactly what you were responding to. Personally I have known and talked to NB a good bit over several years. To say either of us hates each other could not even be considered close enough to be called stretching the truth. I have had my disappointment and disagreements etc with her. But it never got disrespectful. Fly A.K.A. Biggie well he an I never talked as much but we never fought really either. Apart from giving them a bit of grief when fly got banned that was the worst it got. Even now after all the recent NB stuff I don't have an issue with her. She fell victim to the same thing a lot of ppl fall victim too. Though she perhaps like others I have known over came it. My only issue atm is the over zealousness of the rules etc. It to me as someone who plays there seems a bit much and not as necessary as some make it out to be. Though I don't ever expect there will be much actual discussion about it due to all the cheer leading on each side.

the problem with the rules are not that they are too harsh, but they are badly worded.

the 40+ rule was made to allow lower levels more freedom, not the other way around. at 1st confed members could only pt with other confed members. as venus got popular and more legits began to make there own guilds, we could not keep up with the ammount of guilds that we needed to remember so we allowed all players under 40 to pt with whoever they want as long as its not a known bot guild. past 40, all legits pretty much have learned how things work and are more then willing to join and contribute to the fight.

the only constructive thing i got out of this thread is that we should reword the rules in a more simple way and get rid of the ones that repeat more then once. everything else is fack avalon fack mather fack hitler a.q o.ç ressssssssss.

@Fly, I'd like to request that we put a description of some sort for the rule underneath each one as to help clarify the reasoning to the rule, just like you did for the no Pt with guildless lvl 40+ rule, im sure that would help lighten what could be seen as pretty strict rules with less of a 'because the federation said so' kind of thought coming from the reader.

To all the people who just read the rules and go "LLOOLOLOL RULES R TEH GHEY" or whatever nonsense is spewing from you mouths. The rules aren't that intrusive at all. It's kept venus the way it is for longer then the legit communities on the other servers. I just don't understand the point of flaming someone over something that well, has no effect on you whatsoever. If you don't like the rules then don't come to Venus simple as that.

Not reading the topic doesn't help your case. All the misconceptions are cleared, please read the topic. BTW a Union is technically a confederation of different guilds, just like a guild is a confederation of individuals, and the "confederation" on Venus is a decentralized league of Unions that enforce common rules independently of one another.
