Theory? What theory, Silo. It was tried on Hera; ask them how they're doing. It was tried on Odin; last I checked it's no longer a legit server for legits. People did try your method for nearly 2 years and now we have a game infested with cheaters. Is that what you want silo? A server that slowly turns into a botter's paradise. You want to know how "awesome" a bot server is? Buy a premium and log into Babel. If cheating is against the rules you really expect us to want to play with them? If you knew someone always cheats at poker would you want to play with him? If you know someone always used world builder in Civ IV to stack his sieges would you want to play with him? People don't want to play with cheaters. Common sense, silo.

I am sorry, but I will have to correct you about the Odin part. Odin did not fall apart because lack of strict rules or not shunning people who are 40+ guildless or whatever other nonsense. It fell apart because our leader (Ritual) had quit and gave leadership to someone who could not handle the job and let the guild die. We just had a great leader, but 2 weeks after he left the server fell apart.

That was just the last straw. The whole system was flawed in there. As soon as the guild fell apart, all the "legits" joined bot guilds.

Then tell them how your currently at war with the bots to keep the supremacy at bay. Also tell them how you learn a new magical skill that makes you run faster and how you just got +5 on your weapon. I think they will be so proud.
Your taking this game too serious. Being legit should only be about if you bot or not. You should go check out almost ever other silkroad version. They all turned out to being bot ghost towns. All this work so you can brag that you created the best legit silkroad server ever is pointless.

It is true that some people take this game too serious, but eh, I don't really care. They helped to make a game server enjoyable to a majority of people who so happened to play the same game. I play the game for entertainment, not some "war." You won't see me starting shit just to start shit, you won't see me globaling talking smack just because so and so did something I didn't agree with, and you won't see me talking down to someone for how they chose to play. That can't be said for everyone else, but since when don't some people take certain things too serious?

My ideals on this game are simple: You play how you want, and I'll play how I want.

Because Venus it totally not ghost towns... Other Servers have town filled with bots, Venus has towns that are not even full. A server, which there is no competition for a Unique... sounds fun. The unique, which you can run out of pots, go to town, come back and still get the kill.

I'd rather share a server with bots than with half those pathetic rules. Though some of them are good, the rule that you are 40+guildless means your illegitimate sucks.

The whitelisted guils I mentioned = the 15 I mentioned(I think there is more than 15, cba to check), and I said 3 unions because I believe a shift like that would mainly effect Ava. =]

Of course the highest level Unique in the game is easy picking. There aren't many high levels around to kill it. Besides it was done at a time when people were sleeping, stalling, or grinding.

The rule in question is not as bad as Mr.NuclearSilo made it out to be. In practice it doesn't really effect people.

Say for example you don't like any of the 4 unions, or the 15+ guilds that are white listed. IIRC individuals can be whitelisted and if you went from 1 - 40 legitimately the people you played with can and will vouch for you.

Im surprised this thread is still going. as some has said Venus has set up that "laws" and all that and if they're all happy living in that "Dictatorship" state its they problem. Where are you pulling these facts out? It is clear you don't play on Venus. Go look at constanstinople. It will have 10 times more people then any of your precious bot servers. Go look at uniques. You'll see at least 5 people spawn camping every on of them. Go back to your precious bots, bend over and take it up the ass like the good boy you are.

This one would be included since im not really putting anything into this thread that would help Silo understand the rule, since I don't even know the Confederation. Might check out Venus, when I click to see how populated Sparta is, that's how far I care about that server. So I say Silo, one who doesn't even play the game, should let them play by their rules. Nah, seriously man, Go visit const, sam, and hotan on any other server, count the 2-3 people in each the come scope the towns out on venus, there are TONS of people with legits behind there chars going around doing there business. they are by FAR ghost towns, oh and the reason i mentioned hotan, all servers are really full there, but Venus's hotan has the most legit population running around...not just a massive bot line buying there shit in town.

I have seen those topics and it's rarely a Venus player that starts it. Usually the post is "InB4Venus" from a non-Venus player followed by libel and flames. Then the Venus player comes and another non-Venus player goes; "Here comes the Avalon Crew." Boom, insta-flame topic. It's actually really funny watching both sides get angry over little comments.
