You cannot judge Venus and it's ways unless you played on it. For the war vs Epic I went to Venus for the day and got invited to come look at Eye Peak area. And well .. I was amazed 3-4 8/8 parties killing stuff amazingly fast all TALKING and all having fun ( Making fun of me : ( )

This ? This is what happens when you bring in STRICT guidelines which many people are urged to obey. It might seems ridiculous for many seeing as they play on dead servers wear the most action is a 8/8 bot pt where 6 of it's members have been laying dead on the floor for 10 hours. If you think it is sooo crazy than piss off and leave them be. Fact is your server will never be as active as Venus. Hell my server .. it's shit too but I cba to re-roll on a server where I have no money

It's all about the rules and being respectfull of the TOS that Joymax created. I highly doubt that JM put those ones in his TOS :

Don't get powerlvled by botters & and don't party with botters (excluding dis party)

This requires some explaining: The rule is basically there to prevent the botters from having fun. This game is all about having fun; if one wants a legit server for legits then one mustn't give the botters breathing space. I don't see how this is new or radical. It was done in 60 and 70 cap. Why can't it be applied now?

The last rule: *Anyone above 40 that does not have a guild will be considered illegitimate.

thats why our rules allow alot of freedom to players under 40. its the period where u learn whos who and what the rules are.

Fly I am not delusional enough to spend every day on the game anymore. Even 2 weeks ago when I did people were still whizzing by me. Keep track of ppl? I run two clubs I DJ at 4. I have to keep track of 50-60 people not including alternate accounts. On top of that I build and script and have to deal with my customers for that. Then there is the day job and RL. outside the guild I am doing good If I can keep track of ppl in our union let alone others. I am not spending my life on SRO anymore really. That is actually alot to keep track of. I mean I am gonna try but it has been such a hastle when all I wanna do is just relax.

over 40 your expected to take some responsibility for your actions. over 40 most players are part of the 4 unions, and those that are not are well known to most players so if you were in a pt with one of them, the pt members would let you know he/she is legit.

I will let you know how that works out when I manage to find a pty ^_-.

I already explained those two rules. FYI the confederation rules are nothing more than guild rules that all guilds agreed upon.

It also means that you consider a guildless level 40 as a botter, or he isn't using an illegal program, third party program, isn't buying gold... Those rules are set up not only for respect of Joymax's TOS but are also twisted in such a way that players that don't agree with the rules are kept out of Venus. Sounds a bit harsh to me because you don't only remove the fun for playing from the bots but also from legits. Those rules are not only for protecting the legit players on Venus but a part of them is for protecting the Confederation so just a part of the legits on Venus.

The head of the confederation send a msg to all members, says that they'll be free for 3 days. They are allowed to:
- party with anyone they want (no matter bot or legit)
- buff anyone they want
- job war pt with anyone they want
- sell stuff to anyone they want
- in a short word, do whatever they want except the use of bot and other 3rd pt programs
You also add that you won't put them in blacklist or ban them.

lol, YOU don't understand. If you dont like the rules, leave ur guild/union/confederation and start a guild with YOUR OWN rules, no one is obliged to follow confederation rules when u're outside it.

I just want to hear the opinion in deep down in their heart if they want the rule or not.

Not all members of the confederation joins the confederation because they have the same goal: ostrascize bots. Their first intention is to find a legit guild that they can make pt and play everyday. And the confederation is smt invented by the leaders of each unions, it's not constructed by every member of each guild. Once they stepped in the guild they cannot stepped out, so they're obliged to be a part of the confederation.

If you believe that all members vote for the rule. Show me thread in your forum where you made a poll then?
Knowing that there are total more than 50 guilds => more than 1000 members. Show me at least 500 votes then? equivalents to 50%

First impressions matter. I have never logged on Venus , I lack infinite time and one silkroad server is enough. This leaves me extrapolating off of data from forums. From what I've seen here if I ever saw a Avalon on Posiden and I wasn't carrying a large amount of SOS I would fire my crossbow in an instant. Bots are easy enough to deal with they are a pain but to be a complete pain you have to be human I can ks pretty much every bot I've ever run into I can get virtually the same xp with or without them being around. Arrogant Annoying humans are the real problem. I was on my level 25 Grinding on Closiers did a bot ks me and chase me around for 20 minutes? No a lvl 60 human WIzard did. From what I see on forums with your rules and with your NB / FLY scandels paints a very bad picture:

I have a thought: Instead of "gtfo" of every Venus-related thread, why not state "Come to Venus, throw away your bot time, be legit with us, and enjoy the game as it's meant to be played"?

The continued negativity on both sides is annoying, but Venus people could rise above and choose to be friendly...I remember when I tried Venus, I joined BHA (the union, don't remember what guild) and I think Non Ego Man gave me 500k in gold to get me started. I took Chinese and managed to get to 26 or so before it got boring (yes, I prefer Euro). He didn't have to do that, but he did...took a chance.

In any case, I'm not pointing fingers at anyone specific, because humans are emotional, and the legits want to keep what they've worked so hard to get.

If I ever go back to Venus, it'd have to be full-time, because there were a lot of people in Constantinople last I was on my lvl 10 cleric
