I think some people don't get: here's how it runs down:
Phase One: The two leaders each (with the help of others) Plvl a total of 40 characters (40 accounts, 20 for each guild) to level XX (most likely 40).
Phase Two:(i.e.) You sign up and are randomly(?) assigned a character for the war.
Phase Three: WAR!

That VIP stuff sounds complicated.

not really just means make 2 characters each a tad higher, its to add some variety in game type since Joymax thinks one game type is good enough, but yes thanks for clarifiying it a little bit
you sign up, request a build and you'll be assigned one if the one you asked for is open and no one asked before you, you can be what you asked for. I plan on naming my characters based of their types like ArmoredCore1 ArmordedCore2 or Medic1 and Medic2.

There will probally have to be a sign up fee, this will go towards cash reward for winners, MVPs, as well as after each war the characters will need gear repaired, and every one will be given say like 200k of the entry fee back so they can go buy pots/pills/detect pills/special pills

that will be part of your strategy is to determine if you want to buy larger pots or smaller pots and detect pills or some combination there of, these fee will also help pay back those who put in time to create the characters.

Based on oh say 500k to sign up, getting 200k back, that leaves 300k to the system, which for the first week or 2 will go into the wizards who helped make it happen as well as re-emberse for the money spent on the gears, so 100k of your fee will go to that, and 200k will be for prize money, as well as at the end all the pots /pill will be npced and you get the spare gold back to your gm and that money will be thrown into the pot for prize money, and prizes will be awarded as a percentage of that money.

I want to try to make the numbers work so that the winning side will get at the very least their entry fee back and the MVPs can get a little more.

Even if you loose you still would have had a great time, and the loosing team is allowed and each team gets an MVP

even with a 500k fee its still going to be a major profit/ time loss on the side of us running it, maybe after a month it'll break even

Heh, location is easy. Chin's Tomb is a great ass place to do this. The Tomb south of it is great too (gloomy, darkish setting, trees and stuff, good for recon-hide behind tree, can't attack due to object etc.)

Jupiter temple is meh, it's also a spot I guess. Bandit den is great too. We can even go to jangan fort if we wanted to. There's still a lot more places but due to the whole lvl 42 thing, it would be hard to survive there. BUT maybe it would be another challenge, for example, we fight in dead ravine. It would be fun to fight eachother AND mobs at the same time, it would add another whole layer of strategy to it, kinda like taking the key early in CTF.

Also, another good game plan is something like capture the flag. they can have an item dropped on the floor, and the other team tries to pick it up before it dissapears or somthing, and the defending team will need to protect against them taking it.

The king idea is actually pretty cool, have 1 person higher level than the rest of them would make taht king idea fun.

The entrance fee thing is actually a pretty good idea. NPC gear still cost money, detect pills and whatnot. Maybe we can even make it so gold is limited, like at the beginning you give each person 100k to buy pots, and its up to them how to spend the 100k.

Powerleveling isn't really a good idea. Advertising it in GD and in other servers will make people want to come and grind up, maybe even a few of them stay for good. People don't really like sitting on a horse getting XP, parties are so much more fun. I would volunteer to make a new char and grind it to 40 if a few other people would. As soon as we get like 20 people at the lvl 40, more and more people will begin pouring in through advertisements. Ever single match on saturday should be frapped and posted, as well as screenshots. This will cause interest in the project, interest in the server, interest in pvp. Not only will it bring more people to Venus, it might even jumpstart the job/war/cape system here.

I actually agree with what argo says. No one wants to be plvled, it's a waste of electricity. I'm 100% up for the "we all make character at the same time and grind to 40" idea. The problem with that is that not all of us can be on at the same time, and also what about weird pvp builds like, 20 lock 10 cleric 10 warrior? (just made it up lol). It would not be suitable for partying or leveling in general since it will be a pvp build instead of pve. Also chinese.

Property of the event isn't going to work. People want to be able to transfer their avatar, monkey, wolf, ect over to their account. As for gold, i'm sure we can sponsor it from fortress money or I can sponsor it from my own reserves.

Even with a weird build and chinese, its nice to have people grinding around your level. Besides that, the people who did pick normal builds will be able to party with the people who normally party at those levels. If everyone in the server made a lvl 40 char just for kicks, we could have a real war going. Getting to 40 is not that hard, lots of people will be interested once we post a few videos.

That just wont work out. What about people who want to join from other servers? If this event is made to attract people to Venus, how are those people going to pay the 500k entrance fee? I think it should be a personal account on which everyone on Venus logs in every week or so for a nice low lvl pvp. Venus has already mastered 90 group pvp, but due to the fact that euro wasn't around during the 60/70 cap, low lvl pvp is largely ignored. If you manage to find any low lvl pvp at all, it is usually one sided or if your lucky, a 1vs1. The CLOSEST you can get to an actual group pvp at that lvl is CTF. CTF is full of dumb bots who don't even know that my class has NO buffs.

I don't mind people making their own accounts I guess, at least the Fable side won't. The whole gold team silver team thing sounds kinda ugly IMO. I still prefer just using Blade and Fable, both 5 letters... they even almost use the same letters lol. It looks a lot cleaner and it adds taste.

O_o dude, you can keep the accounts if you want man. I know it's all your hard work. It's always fun to have your own special level 42 built character for the war anyways, I think on Fable's side we should just keep all our own characters instead of sharing them.
