2-lock nukes are pathetic u know.. baby nukes. even the weakest warrior skill (being a STR) would outdamage them. what really sets a lock apar from anyne else is DOTs. again, ur not a nuker.. u r not meant to be. ur nukes are just supportive.
3-ksing is another story. i am talking about the best way to grind in normal conditions. even if they ks.. look how much mobs u r attacking at a time. how much will they ks? one? two? nothing...
still u obviously didnt get my point.. u DO NOT HAVE TO nuke. DOTs just do the job if u let them. now compare the time u need to DOT and the time u need to nuke.. no comparision. if a wizard needs 2 seconds or so to kill a mob, a lock would need NO TIME AT ALL. u just have to run and let the mob die. the time it takes the DOT to get the mob killed doesnt mean anything to u because you wouldnt even be there. i hope u got it this time...
4-as u said.. noone knows for sure. so plz stop saying nukes make it fill faster. anyway, if u dont beleive this, try grinding with a lock using only nukes, and using only dots separatly. record zerk filling time in each case.. simple.
5-everyone knows ur a genius, thanks.

Da_Realest wrote:You can only get zerk bubbles as fast as the mobs die. DoT continues to tick until the body of the mob disappears so I still got zerk extremely fast.

Fug_Dup wrote:I think that's pretty much how I grind but I do 2 DoTs per mob instead of 1. (IMO only 1 DoT is way too slow) I don't think my rod's durability has ever been an issue ever since JM raised it. I don't think I've had major problems with people KSing me. If they do try, I just pull out my harp and show em what KSing is all about. But while using Warlock nukes will get a kill faster, I think using DoTs would cover a much larger area. Mobs are gonna die anyway. I only use my nukes and debuffs versus party mobs or giants.
Most Warlocks in other games grind using the same technique. It's called 'kiting' if I'm not mistaken.

DoT are unique, no other char grinds any other way then click 123 click 123 click 123.....appart from a warlock
click 1 click 2 click 3 click 4 click 1 click 2......

Point is you're wrong. Have you even played a Warlock before? Besides, 4 seconds is hardly enough time to determine who will grind the fastest.
Also, player 1 isn't instantly casting DoT on all 4 mobs. Its going to take about 1 second to select the next mob and attacking assuming he doesn't have to run alot and has no lag. However, because of this grind method, he will have to run alot. Yea the first mob may die from 1-4 seconds but the amount of time it takes for him to reach the next mob/cast DoT means at the very least it will take 7-8 seconds to kill 4 mobs based on what you said.
To put it simple, in 4 seconds player 1 will have only killed one mob.
EDIT: It took the guy in your video 8-10 seconds to kill a normal general with just DoT. It takes 7-9 seconds for him to kill a shaman. I don't see where you got 4 seconds from.
It seems you only talk with theories.

SRO has made players lazy. On my noob bowmen just spam autumn wind, butterfly, then explosion series when you have 3-7 mobs. It's more interesting then killing 1 mob at a time & keeps you more active/alert.

I can't watch the video since Youtube is blocked here at work, but I agree. I used to play this way on my blader all the time, aggroing as many mobs as I could. I wouldn't just kill one mob, move to the next, kill, move, kill...
I'd use ranged attacks to pull in as many as I could handle, have my wolf on one, me on another mob. KD one mob, combo another, stab the KD'd one before it gets back up, KD 3 mobs with the 2nd book KD, stab one, combo the 4th, 2 die, range attack a few more... send my wolf to get a mob my range can't reach... Was fun doing that to pull in 3 or 4 giants.bladers

Put 1 DoT on a mob then ran off knowing it would die... Wow?? Obviously his gear and skills are just very strong, nothing he did is particularly amazing.
the guy actualy showed his gear at the end of the video if u've watched thatsome gay gear...
and u would really want to see how most locks grind. they're like wizards with a shield. just spamming "death flower"s.

we had a nearly full 90 pt, 2 90 tanks, 90 and 88 wiz, 90 warlock, 2 bards (both battle bards (guardia and zanthra)) all full farmed. PTGiant went down in 2 zerkbubbles i believe.
