Just before dinner i decided to make a Sungs pt because there was none happening, i got one going and i added some guy who evidently wasn't legit.

All of a sudden some Maddened guy jumps down my throat saying i've got a problem and accusing me of shit, WTF??? i've only been on Venus 3 DAYS FOR GOD SAKE!! I'M TERRIBLY SORRY IF I DON'T KNOW THE WHITELIST LIKE THE BACK OF MY HAND AND THE LEGIT STATUS OF EVERY GUILD ON THE SERVER!.

This has happend before as well the other day, please, its so fu*king stupid it makes me mad when people go off at me for such innocent mistakes, im obviously going to ban them if you HELP me with who is and isn't whitelisted. you guys understand were im comming from dont you? it happens ALL the time >.<

I just need to vent....this is seriously damaging my Venus experience.

oh and i DO look at the white list, i cant be expected to know it all instantly.

^^ Some people are vehement supporters of the Confederation. Just check the white list./ We'll try to get people to submit their union icons so that we can post those and make it easier for people to recognize the whitelisted guilds a lot easier.

yeah mate

sometimes it seems like everyone's really harash because of the whitelist and stuff.
But most ppl are just very nice ppl, even if it doesnt seem like it at first

Venus has a great, friendly, legit environment, even with some drama.

OT:
it was just some overzealous player - you will meet some more later as you play SRO
but generally people are friendly and willing to help. if you don't know if a guild is legit or not make use of union chat.

But in all seriousness man, just don't worry about it. Remember the average age group for this game and what you were like back then. A lot of people are immature and simply like to cause drama over the internet. Just ignore it and move on. We don't expect you to know the whitelist off the back of your hand, despite my best efforts to remember it i only know about half of it. Just give it a look and check there. If you make a mistake, so be it. If someones going to be immature and a jerk about it, well screw them. It will only prevent them from getting anywhere in life.

And if your still feeling upset, just hit me up on msn and I'll strip for you, im sure that will cheer you up

hm, question: did this nonlegit have a guild? if so, was the guild in a union or did it have a guild emblem?

cuz if that person isn't on the blacklist, and they were either A) guildess or B) in a guild that didn't have a union or a guild emblem, then you were fine, per the new rule passed not too long ago.

all that said, whoever it was that jumped down your throat most likely had good intentions, just bad tact.

I know where you're coming from iseedeadpeople. It's hard to memorize the entire white list, and no one can expect you to do so. Sometimes I form my own auto-share parties and whenever someone tries to join, if I don't recognize their name or their guild, I'll either ignore their join request, or if they persist, I'll ask in guild if they are ok to join my party. People in guild are usually fairly responsive when I ask about it.

I even got a join request from a guildmate, who apparently was just joining my party to check on us and make sure the party was following the rules, because he said some people just aren't aware of the rules. I'm well aware, but didn't mind him checking in on us.

On a side note, it is a bit annoying being party leader and having this HUGE party join dialog popping up on the screen, in the center, all the time and getting in the way of my grind. It gets in the way. :banghead:

Set a level limit for the party, gets rid of 75% of the people trying to join. If your grinding at Ongs for example, set it to 24~32 or whatever.

You said it happened before, as well. Copy the list into excel, sort alphabetically and print it out. It takes two seconds and you'll have your reference right in front of you. You are a leader of a legit guild. Leading by example means you take extra steps to show your guildmates what is expected of them. Now you're telling them to come to SRF and whine when they get caught with unlegit members in their parties.

Good point. I do set a lower level limit of about 30 when partying on ongs or black robbers, but I haven't been setting the upper limit, leaving it at 90.

My only question is this. If the were from My guild pm me in game and I will talk to them about tact. It happens, all the time, even when the person is legit, and someone in party doesn't think so. Just brush it off and get to grinding, thats what we're here for, is some good fun grinding.

Don't worry about MADDENED, he's actually a pretty good guy. He is 8 years old I think. His main char's name is 0wng3r or something. For his age, he sure holds up pretty well along with the rest of us IMO.

He idolizes legits like the rest of us, so of course people get defensive about this kind of stuff. Don't worry about it too much.
