A better question is: If a friend is exposed in the EB, and the evidence is insurmountable would you still defend them? If the evidence is so great that you find thinking up a defense difficult would you still defend them? Would you come to their aid? To call yourself a friend merely because you won't expose another is phony; the question that should be asked is: would you defend a friend in need, or would you leave one hanging? I believe a true friend is one who will help a friend in need. A true friend is one that will keep their friend on the right side of the track. A true friend would never have to defend a friend in a case of trouble because a true friend would keep a friend out of harms way. A true friend does not lay a blind eye to mischief.
In short: I would never have to expose a friend as I would convince a friend to quit or play Legit. If exposing one as illegitimate is a necessary perquisite to legitimacy [edit*] then I will let them fry when they're exposed. Would I expose them? Probably.
[edit*]Voted yes.

This:
but if he/she continues to cause mischief/boast about his way or remain a hypocrite, then i would expose them.
