Well i'm thinking of making a return to SRO after my tour of Iraq but i'm not sure whether i want to carry on with my character's in Oasis or move to a less populated/bot infested server.

I know you get these posts all the time lol, but i was wondering which server has the most active legit guilds, and whether it's worth strting again from the bottom seen as though i haven't played in over a year.

Your advice on the matter would be much appreciated.

Venus also because it's has one of the largest activity base population than most of the servers from what I seen. Almost all of the servers will "feel" dead mainly because there are too many servers to begin with. So keep that in mind.

Pick your poison. 24/7 traffic on most servers, more pvp/jobbing, way more botters.
Venus: More parties (not shitloads, but they exist daily), a LOT less bots, more legits to play with. However, less pvp, less jobbing, fortress wars are lame as hell, sometimes you get a guildwar.

If i were to reccomend servers other than venus, go to olympus or troy imo.

Venus in not the only server in SRO! I very like my Poseidon server. Stop saying that there is no more good server except Venus. Im tired of this. I think that every server has its good and bad.

LOL @ free ong taxi. If you want to sit on a horse while (most likely) a bot plays the game for you, go ahead and join Eldorado. If you want to experience real parties, real pvp, real action, Venus is for you.

But if your build isn't fitting in the ideal build model you don't find parties. So no chinese build, no rogues, not a kind of experimenting build. If there are too many warriors when you start you're definitely out of parties, if there are too many wizzies when you start you're definitely out of parties.

If you want to start on Venus contact a guild master first and ask what build he needs, stick to the rules and don't think by yourself, the masters think for you. And be prepared to wait hours before you are allowed in a party.

I left Venus because I definitely didn't like it. Char is around level 64 if I remember well, I left since a couple of months. 1H/xbow full farmed. Didn't get in parties but perhaps things changed.

Rogues be in parties with me alot. They are excellent for getting lures. You are right bout something though. I mean Chinese yea but if they can't get in a party u can solo euro kinda sucks at it. Rogue don't need a party really. if your Rogue/Bard just use Xtreme and kill mobs 5-8 lvls higher then u with noise of course. I LOVE rogues in my parties they make the party lvl faster.

Did it on another server but at the end it's killing 10 mobs for 0.1% experience gain if you gap.

I was on Eos the first week and it got bot infested really quick. I love Eos at first but it died in my eyes. Venus got bots too no difference its just more legits. About u being 1h/rogue thats stupid that they picked a cleric sub or bard sub over u cuz they in the party anyway. But nowadays there are NO tanks at my level so im stuck at lvl 54 im not soloing i refuse too. At this point im better of making new tank and plvling it to 50 lol.

You didn't stay long enough on Eos because there is still challenge there but not on Venus.

Peronally I think that excepted partying (which is the best I ever met on any server and I learned a lot during my stay on Venus ) Venus is death. I also think that bot guilds will never attack Jan fortress again just to piss off the legits and remove the fun out of the game of the legits. Something like getting you bored till you leave Venus for another game or the SRA server.

The guild on Eos is doing nicely in the rev6 ranking but of course we can't get the average level of a botting guild, but it's full of active or weekend playing members. It's a matter of time.

I agree with the whole thing how if you plan to play on Venus, you lose your right to choose.

When I joined, the first thing I was told was to ask the guild masters which build they needed. Even though I wanted to be a warrior, I had to go Wiz/Cler since they needed them the most. I had to be wiz, since they said it would be near impossible to get in parties with other builds.

Worst part of all, some of them can spend 5+hours aday grinding. So if you dont spend the same amount of time as them, your pretty much left behind, and have to go look for a lower level party.(If they even want you in their party, since all of a sudden they dont need your build.)

Granted, the legits do dominate the server, but the whole idea of piece and harmony amongst all is boring. FW are lame as they will ever be, Jobbing is kept to a minimum since every body is "friends" and dont want to hunt/thief you since they dont want to get in shit with the Guild master/union master.

The whole Idea of "you can only experience true euro play on venus" is boggus. You can experience that on any server, as long as you know where to look. I should also mention that if your Chinese on Venus, people automaticly assume your a bot, since your not in a 8/8 party. But you cant get into a 8/8 party since your chinese. Its a paradox really.

So if you want to go on a server, where you worship two powerhungry people, then Venus is the server for you. A place where you are ruled by dictatorship.

I suggest you stay on your server, or try others for yourself. Go to dw look at the pvp there, look at the globals, try to watch some of the jobbing, or the Guild wars. Make the decision for yourself, not for somebody else

You can build a chinese. You can build a rogue. You can build an "experimenting build". (whatever that is)

Just don't expect us to hold your hand while you do it. Venus has the most parties of any server. We don't promise to have a party every day, every minute. Chinese? Meant to solo. You don't see any chinese on any other server bitching because they "cant find parties".

No one forced you to become a wiz/cleric, thats bullshit. I know of NO legit guildmaster on Venus who would even think of making someone choose a build. They all say "choose the build you like the best".

Have you SEEN the latest war? 300+ people in the area at once. Even my computer lagged. There is TONS of legit conflict as well as bot conflict. Legits murder each others parties, fight each other - we just unite to kill bots.

People won't automatically assume your a bot if your chinese unless you suddenly "pop" out of nowhere at lvl 70. If your in a legit guild and your chinese, no one will think your a bot. Even if your not in a legit guild and chinese, as long as your name is out there, no one will think your a bot. Again, your chinese .... you are meant to solo.

Pick a corner. Buy tissues. Cry your emo heart out. Don't forget to get a dictionary and look up "confederation", because thats what Venus is ruled by.

PvP in Venus is at SAMARKAND, not dw. You say that you visited Venus, yet you don't know that?

Look Argonaut, Venus is now full of sosun full capped legit players (on other servers they are bots, on Venus they are legit, but for lower levels it's the same result). How can you start a new character there even if you are legit and hope to become one of "the best', you'll always be a "foot soldier" of the generals. You have to obey the rules, that's all.

Challenge is on new servers. I hope you have fun on Venus by organizing once and awhile a special event for the noobest legits. It wasn't when I was on Venus.
