Yeah, I've heard the same, and its probably true, but I like cleaner ears better Its horrible for me to see someone with ear wax leaking out of thier ears.

Cleaning the ears every couple of weeks wont do much harm,

its only if you overdo the cleaning that the ear will retalliate with pain
