BabyBoy wrote:No i believe you don't know what you are talking about. What is the point of taking fire over light on an intel character. Your main stat is INT, you do dmg via int mainly not str so why you need physical dmg buff over magical dmg buff. Secondly your fire nukes do less dmg even with fire imbue when compared to lightning. Even if the dmg produced by a fire nuke + imbue was greater than a lightning nukers the dmg difference wouldn't be too significant and you will hit harder with a mag attack increase rather thank physical attack increase. You also lose mobility (move speed) + ghost walk. Worst part is, this guy in the video is pure intel LOOOOOL. Hes either vsing people in +3 or lower sets or non FF, or perhaps not even level 90's.
Heres one of the guys he vsed, real intimidating

Let's compare 90 light and 90 fire.
Light imbue's minimum damage is even lower than ice imbue's lowest possible damage. Means that light imbue can hit even less than the ice imbue of same level ever could... Fire imbue's average damage is roughly 20% stronger than light's if I recall.
Light nukes are all similar, short ranged, transfer nukes. At this cap the their power percentages dont go past (300%). Fire nukes have diversity. Quick single target nuke (267%), penetrating nuke (315%) and aoe nuke (330%). Fire nukes have longer range.
Buffs. Light has mag damage buff, max 18% at this cap, speed 77% increase (+23m phantom) and 67 extra parry points. You can get 100% speed from a bard (in parties) or 100% speed from speed drugs. Parry points, easily from parry blues on gear, and anyway everybody got a lifetime suppily of dodging scrolls from the event... Basically things you will miss are mag damage buff and phantom. Fire gives 78% bad status reduce, 18% extra physical damage, +171 mag defence and the fire wall. Immunity with little alchemy, slightly better weapon skill damage (also higher crits). It's not because of the physical damage buff that some ints choose fire over light. It's because fire is better overall. And when you take 30 light, you still get 7% mag damage increase (and 38% extra speed).
And the video. Those opponents were 90 FF with premiums, some had sun pieces.
